## What is Heroes of Chess?

Heroes of Chess is a mobile turn-based strategy where heroes of various races - from humans and orcs to undead and demons - meet face to face on the battlefield. 

Battlefield is a chessboard, and pieces on it are your heroes and heroes of your opponents. 

Defend and attack! Every round you get a random set of heroes. Place them on your half of the field and watch your army crushing enemies or falling under onslaught of their sharp blades and well-aimed arrows. 

Strategy is the key to success! Each race has different classes and their position on the field plays an important role. Protect glass assassins with strong fighters, combine heroes to get passive effects, stack repetitive heroes to strengthen them, and then the enemies will have no chance to win against such a skilled strategist.

Biggest issue I found other than loosing connection a lot of the time was upgrading your pieces from 1 star upwards as it doesn’t allow you to which is really frustrating.

### 1/5 — Poorly designed Auto Chess Battle Game

While the classes and theme of the game are interesting, the gameplay is terrible. Many of the menus are not translated from Russian into English. The control are not responsive and you have to struggle to select the hero pieces.

The Hero’s also do not merge on their own, and you have to manually move them onto the game board to merge them, which is difficult when the touch controls are not responsive.

Furthermore, the Hero’s  move around on their own randomly between rounds. Hero’s on your bench are randomly dropped on the board and displace your current Hero’s. Overall the game is clunky and a waste of a download. I would give it zero stars if I could.

The controls are horrible! Champions don’t auto combine, and having to click, hold and drag them one at a time into the battle field takes far too long when you only have a few seconds between rounds.

Fun when it works but it hardly ever works properly, units disappear and then are replaced by different units...really pointless trying to play at this moment

I love this game. It is very fun and easy to pick up. The only frustrating issue is not being able to finish a map sometimes. In late game it will freeze pieces on the board but no one battles which makes it come down to being the last to leave to secure your win (if winning). Will continue to play but hope this gets fixed ASAP.
