From the art style to the touch control scheme to the random level lay outs. It's a lot of fun that had you coming back for more and more. There are upgrades to achieve and all sorts of things to do. The 8 bit dungeon crawler style makes for an oldschool feel. The graphics are great and the controls are very fluid and easy to pick up and play no problem. The only problem is the application Icon, the elf looks really bad to be honest. Why? ### 1/5 — Total garbage *2021-11-19* I’ve played thousands of games in my decades as a gamer. RPG’s and twin stick shooters being my favourites. This is shockingly bad. Embarrassingly bad. Tiny characters, spastic rushed movement, no “loot” to really speak off. Short. Ugly. Not the least bit fun. Bottom of the barrel trash. Whatever I paid for this, I don’t remember now, was too much. Free wouldn’t be worth it. Save your money people. And your time. There are much better games out there. Like, basically anything. Yikes. I very rarely leave reviews, but this one is so bad I had to. I’m a fan of pixel art which here looks great. I’m a fan of games that random generate so the game is different every time. Added to that there’s a great variety of monsters and traps that keep each play fresh. Piling into a hoard with a spell running is so rewarding. There’s an epic sense of scale there’s so much going on. The respite bought by questing for a shield for example feels well earned. These simple quests add a focus eg ok need to bash skulls within a time limit. The main aim is to survive, level up to beat the ever busier and more dangerous hoards. The game as an overall experience is excellent and has a great sense of fun. When I added a Bluetooth controller with iPhone holder the game went from 4 stars to 5.. awesome fun and long term replay ability. Lastly when a fave game no longer works on your new device ... and you feel disappointed ? That’s the sign of a great game. When the Dev updates the game so its all good ... that’s a great dev. That’s why I’d prefer to pay for a Premium game. It's pretty simple - pure... and while Heroes Of Loot 2 is available now, it's still worth having the original as they are two completely different monsters, the original being more streamlined, of course... but still one of the best iOS games I've ever played, and one of the few titles to get well over 200 hours of gameplay outta me.
