I don’t expect it to work for a lifetime, but they truly love abandoning games. ### 1/5 — Why did I pay for a game when the characters are locked behind a paywall still… *2025-09-03* Literally just a scam- you pay for the game only to find out if you want to use different characters, you have to pay for those too, each separately. Sorry but if I buy a game, you don’t lock their characters under ANOTHER paywall or 6. Insane. This shouldn’t be allowed on the App Store. Disgustingly predatory. I’d give zero stars if I could ### 5/5 — Best game *2025-02-04* Please make a part 2 ### 1/5 — Unplayable on iPhone 12 mini *2023-04-28* Newer iPhones block part of the traditional rectangular screen with a speaker and rounded corners. This game does not take that into account, with key buttons inaccessible behind the speaker, and with buttons in each corner difficult to press. ### 4/5 — Great game! *2022-02-27* Good story telling and excellent gameplay. My only issue with Trese brothers games is their idea of what “easy” is. I play this game on easy and I’ve already died almost 50 times, and there doesn’t seem to be anything I can do about the part I’m on now. Same thing with Star Traders; Frontiers. I can win against most enemies but Xeno will beat you no problem on easy unless your away team is geared up with the best stuff and high level. I’m going to keep trying because this game is so good, but it’s challenging. The characters are well written and the plot engaging. The different strategic scenarios and the tactics are varied and keep me thinking. We did have to wait a year for the climax but now that it is out I am back. Waited to write my review until the final plot release. Would have rated it 5 stars but the latest updated crashes the game just as it loads the final sanctum. I have been waiting 5 years for this and now I will have to wait for a patch. ### 3/5 — Could Use Some Serious Polish *2019-07-20* Indie developers? Awesome. Party-centered turn-based RPG combat? Great. Gear, monsters, classes, skills, and saving throws? Count me in. Unfortunately, the game lacks polish and has some clunky flaws. I didn’t get very far into the game (only an hour or two), but it seems to draw VERY heavily from the Avernum series for PC. First, there is no cloud save (that I’m aware of). I bought the game on my phone but it was a bit small so I tried downloading it to my iPad and there’s no way to transfer the save file. Boo that. It also doesn’t screen rotate, so when I’m trying to play while my phone is charging, I’m forced to play with the cord wrapped awkwardly around the phone. Menus are clunky (using potions on specific party members could really be improved), and the inventory/status views are bad. It feels like a very early version of a PC game instead of building on what works well for other games. New characters cost $2 each when we’re already paying a premium for the game itself. I love that indie developers are venturing into this space, but this version isn’t worth the money to me. ### 5/5 — Great story based RPG- needs rogue feature *2019-06-04* This game is so great but I hate doing story games.
