The materials needed to upgrade are very tough to come by unless you spend money. For example, I am on chapter 37 with a level 47 Knight, why do the sky knights do so much damage and feel so strong for an enemy that is actually weaker than the earth giants. An easy manual search in the App Store (word for word) showed what the game actually plays like. Massively disappointing.
