## What is Hestor?

Hestor – Ping Test is an on-device latency measurement utility that tests how fast a host responds. It sends ICMP echo requests itself, or falls back to measuring TCP connection time where echo replies are filtered, then calculates latency, jitter, and packet loss from the results. The Ping screen shows a circular average RTT indicator, per-packet bars, and a clear verdict so you can quickly judge connection quality. The Targets screen includes a curated list of public resolvers and websites, tests them in one pass, and sorts them by response speed. Completed tests are saved in History with full packet details for later review. Everything stays on the device, with no data leaving your phone, and there are no accounts or subscriptions.
