Tellement hâte de rejoindre mon groupe dans les Pyrénées 🥾🎒 ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Pas convaincu *2024-05-31* Se faire de l’argent sur un tracé non officiel est déjà pas génial, mais en plus il n’y a aucune garantie sur l’entretien de ce sentier sinon compter sur la ffrp, encore et toujours ### 2/5 — Unreliable expensive navigational app *2024-12-12* The HexaTrek being an unmarked trail, you rely a lot on the app to navigate. At 50€ for the whole trail, it is on the expensive side of the thruhike apps. You would hope to get from it a premium experience. I hiked the whole HexaTrek in 2024 using an iPhone 15. Sadly as of 2024, it is far from it. The POI (points of interest) are often obsolete, making it mandatory to use another app to cross check any data. The app itself seems poorly built. At each launch, you are zoomed out and can see hundreds of km around you which doesn’t make sense for a hiking app. Add to it that the app will often reboot if you start using any apps or the camera in between navigation sessions, bringing you back to the zoom out state… It leads to a really poor experience especially if you are navigating under bad weather. The path itself rarely deviates from French GR paths which are available for free on other navigational apps. Considering the limitations of the app, the premium price tag cannot be justified. ### 3/5 — Presque parfaite *2024-07-19* Dommage d’indiquer des sources d’eau et des fontaines qui n’existent pas ou sont inutilisable ! Pour le reste c’est satisfaisant. ### 3/5 — It’s okay, but lots of things to improve *2023-08-30, version 2.1* I was using the app for the stretch 2 of the northern alps. Some nice features are where I can see the next water source and also the distance to that point. But sometimes the source was dried out…here it would have been so helpful to be able to left comments, so users are up to date. The most thing that was missing for me were trail notes…there’s just the map view without any description of the stages…so in the end I have no clue what to expect. Especially as solo hiker the most important information for me is what to expect, at least roughly…also especially in the mountains. I would have liked to know roughly the conditions of the trail, the elevation up and down and the kms that I have to do. This would have been so helpful. Another good feature was that I could see where it’s allowed to wild camp and also where there are nice recommended spots to do that👍. So overall the app is ok but lots of things could be improved. One Tipp: maybe checkout the Guthook App, Cheers🙂 ### 3/5 — Very buggy *2023-04-13, version 2.0* I would like to give a higher rating as I love the concept but I have multiple problems with the app: 1. I bought the whole track but can only view 4 of the stages. 2. The app has bugs quite often when some of the features don’t work for some time 3 . It would be great if the stages would have a bigger description with pictures and text ### 4/5 — Pas sure de tout piger *2023-05-02* Je m’intéresse à l’Hexatrek pour cet été et j’ai téléchargé l’appli pour commencer à me renseigner, et je suis un peu perplexe… L’appli est bien, c’est pratique d’avoir le tracé GPS et les renseignements sur les zones de bivouac, points d’eau, etc. Mais je me demande où je peux trouver l’itinéraire effectif… Je n’ai pas envie de marcher le smartphone vissé à la main, et je comprends que l’Hexatrek n’est pas entièrement balisé. Donc où puis-je trouver la liste des GR/PR à emprunter ? Bref, du coup, je ne sais pas très bien qu’elle note mettre… j’ai l’impression que c’est moi qui a raté quelque chose :-/ ### 4/5 — Trop déçue… *2023-05-02* Je suis l’Hexatrek sur IG et FB, je lis tous vos posts… mais je n’arrive pas à ouvrir l’appli :-( Elle est bien installée sur mon téléphone mais je ne peux accéder à l’onglet à cause de la taille de mon écran (téléphone à la pomme version 7) alors que je peux y accéder via le téléphone de ma fille.
