## What is Hexer?

Hexer is a desktop level hex viewer packed with features. It was developed from the ground up for iOS and iPadOS. It is natural and intuitive to use for everyone. It is integrated with the Files app. So you can browse Dropbox, Google Drive, your git repositories, your downloads, your documents in iCloud Drive or your desktop. Or you can just share any file to it.

Bytes are highlighted in different colors: Printable characters are cyan, spaces blue, null bytes grey, control characters pink and so on. The colors appear across the binary, hexadecimal, and ascii column — or can just be turned off completely.

The design is thoughtful and elegant; simple, as a mobile app demands, but without skimping on powerful analysis features (although you might have to switch out of portrait mode to make the most of them)!

This is by far the best hex viewing app I've ever used. The colors (and value ranges to which they apply) make finding certain patterns in files INCREDIBLY easy... to the point I always wish I had just loaded it up sooner. From a design standpoint alone, this app easily takes the cake over my PC go-to.

I was under the impression that the app could actually edit the files, but you can only see the files which is useless for me if you wanna edit files, do not buy this app and they do not offer refunds as well which I don’t think is right because I just bought it about half an hour ago

**Developer response:** I am sorry to hear that.

Unfortunately it is not possible for apps in the AppStore to provide their own refunds. You can however refund the app through Apple; just google “AppStore refund”, you will find a guide that I hope will be helpful to you.

I tried to make it as clear as possible in the AppStore description that the apps is not an editor, but just a viewer. I am sorry you feel misled here. I hope a refund can set things right.

I would greatly appreciate if you could change your app rating afterwards; many people are actually just looking for Hex viewers and I don’t want them to get scared away from this.

Once again I am truly sorry the app did not meet your expectations and I hope the refund process restores things for you.

This app has a lovely interface and does what it says it does and beyond.  Lots of format options for viewing your files and the developer was quick and responsive (also patient and polite) to resolve the ONE and ONLY issue I have ever encountered with this app.  On smaller screens, try turning the device to landscape orientation for more detail and different view

App does what it says, is beautifully designed and has a decent color scheme, I just wish the developer could add editing functionality something like what Flipper Zero app lets you do, Also I appreciate it if he could add support for Flipper Zero nfc files. It does show the Hex of the file itself instead of the hex content inside the file.

The app is fast and responsive even with large files, the search tool is very usable and the theming is pleasant. 

I would like to request float and double BE/LE be added to the Decoding section of the Analysis view.

I realize that the notes do say that editing will be supported in a future version, but for paying $3.99 for a file that can simply VIEW files… not worth the money.  I would rather copy the files off my iPad and view them on my PC
