## What is HexGomoku?

HexGomoku is a unique strategic board game played on a hexagonal grid. Two players compete by moving their pieces across the board, trying to align them for victory while managing the innovative Qi (liberty) system.

Features:
- Hexagonal board with elegant design
- Player vs Player and Player vs AI modes
- Unique Qi liberty mechanic - pieces need breathing room
- Red barrier pieces that must stay connected
- Configurable board size (3-6)
- Built-in game timer
- Undo and reset functionality
- Beautiful dark theme with premium aesthetics

How to Play:
Each turn consists of two moves: first move your own piece, then move a red barrier piece. Your piece needs at least two connected empty neighbors (Qi) to move. The first player to align their pieces in the required pattern wins!

### 1.1.0(6) — 2026-03-21

This major update brings a fully elevated strategic experience to your matches:

1. [Infinite Board Vision] We've completely revamped the dynamic camera! When your pieces reach the edge of the screen, the view will smoothly and seamlessly auto-center, giving you an unrestricted "infinite board" playing field.
2. [New Post-Game Review] The victory screen now features a sleek, semi-transparent overlay! You can easily click the new "View Board" button after a win to hide the scoreboard and analyze your brilliant finishing moves without immediately resetting the game.
3. [Advanced AI Difficulty] The solo mode now features true Low, Medium, and High difficulties. The "High" difficulty unleashes an unconstrained Minimax prediction algorithm with aggressive defensive awareness. Can you beat it?
4. [Optimized Formations] We've streamlined the game to feature the most strategic 3, 4, and 5 piece modes. The starting layouts have been entirely restructured into highly symmetrical vertical columns (including perfect optical alignment for 5-piece games), enhancing fair play and completely eliminating first-turn stuck scenarios.
