I installed the new light panel and got back to normal. I get to week 7 and the app skipped the drying process. I contacted support and they got the box back in dry mode and for some reason I can’t get the box temp under 75 degrees? I’ve done Everything they’ve ask and nothing is working! Overall the support needs and upgrade you can’t talk to anyone you have to wait until someone messages you in the app which seems like a long time. ### 4/5 — Easy *2025-06-18, version 4.1.1* Self explanatory system and hands free for the most part just sit and forget. Definitely something for beginners and the app walks you thru the steps. Now the on time for “lights on”won’t change in the dropdown menu. ### 3/5 — cool idea, very buggy app *2025-02-28, version 4.1.1* for the most part, my experience with heyabby has been positive. however, there has continually been one issue that makes me wish i’d purchased a grow tent and built my own setup instead. quite frequently, the app logs me out or fails to open entirely. as i write this review, i’m unable to log in, and i get a “bad gateway (502)” error despite switching from WiFi to mobile data. because of this, im unable to control the grow tank, which is currently preventing me from doing a crucial task that is fundamental for the growth of my plant. aside from that, the grow tank itself is quite small, and it can be difficult to fit any necessary equipment inside (such as humidifiers, dehumidifiers, fans, etc) all in all, it’s a nice concept, but there are many flaws that will absolutely get in your way as a grower ### 4/5 — Only one feature missing… *2025-02-04, version 4.1.0* Would love to be able to invite others to manage the box and see environmental details. ### 3/5 — Please rollback *2024-11-30, version 4.0.2* Since the last update, the playback function no longer works—it freezes the entire app. The German translation is worse than Google Translate; I now understand less than I do in English. You also can’t change the language to English. Many so-called “improvements” have made things worse, unfortunately. Sometimes the product is called hey abby, then Hey abby, then hey Abby, or Hey Abby—it’s absurd. Unfortunately, this says it all about the app. :/ ### 3/5 — Just barely usable *2024-11-05, version 4.0.1* Does what it needs to do for process automation… but any kind of “live help” assistance or guides are poorly designed, hard to follow, out of order or not on the right cycle of time… new updates break things and make it borderline if not entirely unusable. ### 2/5 — Pretty weak *2024-09-25, version 3.9.4* You would think that for as much of an integral part the app is to their products, it’d be a lot better. The discord server is cool, a bunch of people sharing the same frustrations and a handful of knowledgeable folks trying to help keep things afloat. This app really could be a lot better and for this to be worth it, it needs to improve or be overhauled entirely. There is word of an update with considerable improvements down the pipeline and I hope that’s true. I’ll wait for that to come out before I consider revising this review but until then it looks like I’m stuck with this junk ### 3/5 — IOS widget doesn’t work *2024-07-15, version 3.9.1* Rest of the app is it’s usually functional buggy self with comments being posted twice etc etc. New widget doesn’t work at all - you press it and it will launch the app but no meta data is displayed on the Home Screen. Hey Abby sent a replacement box. I have been in consistent contact all by email. To have a shipping label sent so I can return the defective first box. Now my paid for six month subscription is showing expired. The box I believe if working properly will be ok. But the app is crap. The help does not work it says to reload. If you are inclined to buy the Hey Abby box. I would do so through Amazon you may pay more but not have to go thorough 2-3 months of hassles about a defective product and return. ### 4/5 — Works as it should. *2023-12-17, version 3.3.0* Smooth sailing here. ### 3/5 — Not bad, not great *2023-11-29, version 3.3.0* I’ve been using the app for quite a while now. It works well for some things, and for others, it does not. When you take the fan off of the auto setting, the app works well and is very fast to adjust the settings in real time (you can hear the fans getting louder or quieter.) The weekly tasks with the videos are ok. Some things I do not like are that the app will say the plant environment is bad, but when I look at the water temperature, air temperature and humidity levels, they all say ideal. It also says the plant light is off when it’s actually on. I’ve reset it to see if that helps and it does not. I still have all the original “products” and had I known an ongoing subscription would be required to use this $500 piece of equipment I never would have purchased it. Anybody want a device that requires an annual $200 membership fee to use? Originally I bought one off eBay and it came to my house all dented, so I sent it back. Ordered 4 OG boxes off their website and luckily all of them showed up with little to no damage. So far I have 3 boxes in pro mode and am almost done with a full harvest. The 1 box I left in the easy mode - I love all the features of the calendar and suggestions it gives you throughout the lifespan of your plant. So far these are the best crops I have ever grown, can’t wait for harvest!
