Annoying for the kids waiting to set up a screen when they wanted to physically do it. How about include a paper leaflet so you can opt not to stare at a screen whilst playing with your kids. Won’t be buying again. Kids don’t need to upload a photo and share they need to play without a screen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a dumb company **Developer response:** Hello! Nothing but a money grab bs product ### 1/5 — Bad for kids AI narration *2026-08-16, version 2.13.3* The instructions are narrated in an incredibly unnatural, robotic, choppy voice that sounds AI-generated. This is not a good idea for young children to listen to while developing speech skills. It's lazy and inauthentic as well. It's a shame because otherwise the instructions appear developed with care, it's useful to rotate a 3D model of the character and watch an animation of hands step-by-step. Not convinced this is better than paper instructions or video tutorials, though, since it's a pain you need to make an account, read legal agreements, scan a code, & not lose your login. Plus it wants to sell me a subscription & send me marketing notifications. ### 1/5 — NO ENGLISH! *2026-08-08* I deleted it because it wasn’t showing English pls help me ### 1/5 — The app is an absolute nightmare. *2026-08-03, version 2.13.3* We bought two sets for our kid, but the app is completely useless. You can’t even activate an account, let alone navigate it properly. It’s super glitchy, totally broken, and utterly frustrating. Cant figure out where in the app to enter the code so we can get instructions on how to build the characters. And these subscription prices are outrageous. Who would pay for that? I purchased the app in good faith, but I have since been locked out of content that I paid for. Despite sending numerous emails and trying multiple ways to contact customer support, I have received no response whatsoever. As a paying customer, I feel completely let down and cheated. It is unacceptable to sell access to an app and then leave customers without support when that access is lost. The lack of communication has been just as frustrating as being locked out of my purchase. I would simply like my access to be reinstated or for someone to respond and resolve the issue. Until then, I cannot recommend Hey Clay based on my experience with their customer service and post-purchase support. **Developer response:** Hello.Thank you for your feedback. We paid for the subscription but the sound wasn’t working. Then some of the selections wouldn’t open and now none will. I tried restarting my Phone, deleting and re-downloading the app, made sure my software is up to date, nothing worked. I have a newer model iPhone. Tried sending a help request in app and when I hit submit it said “error occurred” so what am I paying for exactly? ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work. *2026-06-26, version 2.13.0* When I click on any of the sets nothing happens. Don’t subscribe. It’s a waste of time and money. Your kid will be very frustrated trying to tap on each character and seeing the app do nothing. Usually the other clay kits just give you a paper instruction, but this one has a step-by-step detail, detailed instruction of how to make your creation. I have the minion one and I love it and I am going to get another one once I make them all because I love the app and the brand and the clay.. the tools with the clay kit, make it so much easier to make your creation.
