Addicted to cafe life. Easy to use and entertaining! ☕️ ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Tags and notifications *2026-03-20* I can’t add tags and there’s no push notifications so I don’t know what’s going on until I go into the app **Developer response:** You can add tags just like other places, but we intentionally don’t use push notifications as it can be harmful to mental health. ### 1/5 — For the financially privileged *2026-03-17* The moment I got there, I was pitched to. Upgrade to pro for more reactions, longer posts and edit button. Sound familiar? Yes, exactly like Xitter. Nothing says anti-Canadian than a popularity contest rigged towards those who are willing and able to pay for it. How very ableist. **Developer response:** We don’t have ads, we don’t sell data, the upgrade is the only income the site makes to cover cost, it’s both optional, and not required to do any site functions other than edit stuff after posting. ### 1/5 — App keep Crashing *2026-03-10* The app keep crashing out anytime I leave the app, it show Java script needed. I really don’t understand this bugs. I use iPhone **Developer response:** Apologies, might have been when we had a huge spike of new users all at once for a week. Things should be way more stable now. ### 2/5 — I can't work with this yet, but I'm willing to wait *2026-03-18* As someone who use this screen metre because I am blind, this app is not accessible to me as it should be and, I'm Canadian. No trolls, no negativity, no fear. Photography is my beloved hobby but until now, I hardly ever shared my work because the internet can be a cruel place. But this place just feels so friendly! ### 5/5 — Canadian and Better *2026-04-21* Just like the tagline says, it’s the Better Social Network! Finally, a social network that you can contact the developer, report bugs, make suggestions, and even ask for features. No ads, and it’s free! You can upgrade to a Pro account for some added features, but it’s not necessary to thoroughly enjoy the Network. For me, the added features were worth the small amount for the upgrade. Also love that the staff clean out the scammers pretty quickly. Like Canada itself, Hey.Café is against bigotry, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and hate. It’s all in the terms of service that you’re supposed to read. They do enforce the rules and I absolutely love that. The people who are giving bad reviews because they got blocked were most likely being hateful or harassing others. This makes it a safe space to be. Another thing that I love: No Advertising! The site is completely free to use and to keep it ad free for everyone, they give you the option to subscribe to Pro. Thank you for making Hey.Café a safe space and an advertising free place to hang out in!
