Loving the app so far and highly recommend for anyone looking to learn irish! ### 1/5 — App is not working and there is no way to get help *2026-09-25* Really love this app to begin with and was all in to pay for it to continue learning. Then all of a sudden their errors in the app that won’t let you move forward through the lessons.. Additionally, there is no way to get help! Extremely frustrating. It doesn’t always hear what I say. For instance, it was asking me to say cad at the start of a sentence. I knew I was saying it correctly, but it was not being highlighted and marked as not pronounced. I tried several times but it still stayed orange. I don’t think I will go on to have it as a paid app if it has a bug like this because it’s frustrating. The bugs seem to have been sorted and the app is working great now for me. Definitely better than other more popular apps for learning Irish. Phrases and language used in everyday life in Ireland. Not random words that you’ll never use. One criticism is the Ulster dialect option. Incredible! Meant to knock Duolingo off of its high horse, but I’m suffering a lot of the same problems you find in Duolingo. Constantly reminding me to pay and keeping lessons behind paywalls. The speech input being marked incorrect when it’s fully correct…. Look I’m an American from Texas, I’m never going to have the proper accent. But having learned German and Spanish, pronunciation has always been one of my strong parts of language learning. Being made to constantly repeat the sentence and told it was wrong, when it wasn’t, was very frustrating.
