## What is Heywaver?

Heywaver keeps the things you say ready to show big or speak aloud. Tap a card to show it in large type, or have your iPhone say it.

Built by and for Deaf and hard of hearing people. Anyone can use it.

SHOW IT, SAY IT, FLIP IT
Type what you want to say, or tap a card that's already there. Show it full screen, or have it spoken in a voice you pick. Flip turns the text 180 degrees so the person across the table reads it the right way up.

CARDS FOR THE ROOM YOU'RE IN
Six modes come ready: Everyday, Café, Meeting, Medical, Travel, and Restaurant. Each has its own cards, so the pharmacy counter and the boarding gate get different words. Tap the mode's name on the Hub to switch. You can make up to three modes of your own.

CARDS THAT FIT YOU
Pick the word that's yours: Deaf, Hard of hearing, Hearing loss, Late-deafened, DeafBlind, Hearing, or Something else. Heywaver shows the word and doesn't define it for you. Your pick sets your intro and your suggested cards.
Late-deafened: "I can speak, but I can't hear you."
DeafBlind: "Please type the menu out here."

ASK FOR THE ACCESS YOU USE
One question: "What access works for you?" Pick any, or none. The list covers a sign language interpreter (ASL), a Certified Deaf Interpreter (CDI), tactile, close-vision, and oral interpreters, a support service provider (SSP), and more. Each pick adds cards for asking for it, like "Please book a tactile interpreter for my appointment." Cards use plain words with the booking term in parentheses, so the person arranging it knows what to book.

HOW YOU SIGN
Say whether you sign, don't sign, or are learning, and Heywaver adds cards to match: "Could you sign a little slower?", "Can you fingerspell that?", "Is there someone here who signs?" It's separate from identity, because plenty of Deaf people are learning to sign.

IT SAYS HEY
Add your name and the Hub opens with "hey" and your name. Below it: your intro card, then your quick cards.

YOUR WORDS
Write your own cards and star the ones you reach for. Edit your intro so it says what works for you. Choose the card's colors and font, and the voice that speaks it. Share any card as an image.

GET SOMEONE'S ATTENTION
Flash the screen when you need to be noticed. Turn on "Shake to get attention" to start it without looking.

PRIVATE
Everything you type stays on your iPhone unless you share it. No account, no sign-in, no analytics. It works with no signal, including in airplane mode.

Free to use. Say it your way.
