## What is HGReader?

An app for reading books.
The supported formats are FB2, MOBI, EPUB, CBZ, RTF, HTML, and TXT.
Import from local devices, iCloud and Dropbox, as a single book and as a batch.
An ability to create internal shelves structure, with search/filtering by genres and keywords.
An ability to translate selected words and phrases to the chosen language, by presetting the list of languages to translate from.
Reading the text aloud with different variants of speed and operating from the music control. 
Bookmarks and notes with the ability to upload the latter as a file.


## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.10.1 — 2023-10-26

This is probably the latest version of the application (fixes are possible, of course, if critical errors are found, but this is unlikely). Therefore, we strongly recommend upgrading to generation 3.x. Compatibility of library formats is still absolutely complete and nothing will be lost during the transition, not even reading progress. Before upgrading, do not forget to enable iCloud backup. Instructions for “data migration” are on the application page.

### 2.10 — 2023-10-20

- the reading aloud system has been rewritten;
- fixed the output of "footnotes" in pop-up windows;
- fixed a bug in the indexing system that sometimes caused incorrect cutting of words at the end of the page.

Critical fix in the system for restoring a library from backup.

### 2.9.1 — 2023-09-20

Fixed crash when importing some RTF files

### 2.9 — 2023-08-30

A system for online synchronization of the library contents throughout different devices has been implemented. Now not only "notes" are synchronized, but the reading progress as well.
