## What is HID Reader Manager?

HID Reader Manager streamlines management of compatible HID Signo, iCLASS SE® and multiCLASS SE readers in the field. Administrators can easily adjust configuration settings, upgrade firmware, inspect and export current reader status, and upgrade compatible readers to support Bluetooth and/or OSDP.
        
-Bluetooth is used to communicate with the reader hardware. If Bluetooth is not enabled communication to readers will not function. 
-Calendar is used to log the error/information.  If Calendar is not enabled logging will not function. 
-Location is used to obtain the location of the Reader for administration purpose and improving user experience.  If Location is not enabled communication to readers will not function.

It’s crazy to me that this app only supports Bluetooth on iOS. The NFC sdk has been made available for a while now and this functionality is very much needed when programming legacy readers with no BT module.

If you don’t close the reader and sign out of the app, it will crash everything. I’ve instinctively swiped up a couple times and the only resolution is to delete the app, delete my key, download the app and reissue a key. Signing back in without that process doesn’t issue the key back.

Just had to send technician home from a site 2 hours away from this app failing over and over. Tech support was useless. They say “we are aware of an issue” and that is all we get. Tried to rate less than 1 star.

You cannot use nfc to program with apple devices so this app is pointless. I need an android device to even use this app so why would there be an apple app. And don’t say oh use Bluetooth. That is inapplicable for my scenarios.

What an awful app. Clearly designed by someone who has never worked in the field. Would seem using Fac code 255 has been disabled.
Great, now I need to reprogram all previously installed readers.
What’s with the constant need to power cycle the readers? Not the easiest task!
