I have anime’s that the subtitles go out randomly and sometimes when I pause it, it’ll catch up others times it won’t. The Japanese audio and the video keep playing, but the subtitles stop showing. Sometimes they come back eventually if you pause the video for long enough, but something is wrong with the encoding or syncing or something. 2: The audio keeps switching back to English, and there is no way to default to Japanese with English subs. Every episode, I have to reselect the language, which is very frustrating and annoying. 3: something is wrong the mobile subscription mechanic. I selected the month by month plan, but was unable to watch any content. When I went into the Apple subscription menu in the iPhone settings, if I look at which subscription model I’m subscribed to, instead of two (monthly and yearly) I’m presented with like 10 or 15 subscription tiers to select from, half of which are the monthly, and half of which are the yearly models. I had to subscribe via a browser on my pc in order to access the app’s content. Custom video player with custom controls that mostly do not work with Apple’s remote — clicking left or right does not change the view position. 2. The app makes itself permanently active, even during pause. So if you stop playback and leave, your tv will stay on. Forever. Burning the frame image into the screen. I have no idea if any of these shows are good and no way to figure out unless I go to a whole other app/website. And on top of that, it’s barely even cheaper than Crunchyroll. Absolutely not worth it. Some People are so emotional nowadays it's wild! Yes there are some bugs, I get that. But maybe it's not just the app that's the issue. I'm using the app on an iPhone 15 pro max and I've used this app for at least 2-3 years. I've had tiny bugs, not any more than I've had with even top tier apps... like Crunchyroll or YouTube.. I use it because they have titles Crunchyroll does not. And I've been able too watch my anime with no major issues.
