Als jemand, der auch beruflich mit Tiden zu tun hat, kann ich diese App nur empfehlen. Man kann entweder auf globale Modelle zugreifen (und zwar für FREI WÄHLBARE POSITIONEN!) oder auf Echtzeit-Pegel (Abo mit moderaten Kosten vorausgesetzt). Positiv hervorzuheben ist der ausgezeichnete Support durch den (Einmann-)Entwickler, der sogar zeitnah Vorschläge umsetzt. Sehr empfehlenswert!

An sich gute strukturierte App funktioniert aber mit Watch nicht ordentlich. Favoriten werden nicht zuverlässig übertragen und Daten und nicht aktualisiert.

I downloaded this app with the hope of using the desktop widget for it.  However it seems to have a fatal flaw.  There seems to be no way of changing the tidal datum to chart datum.  It seems to be based on a mid tide value so it is of no use whatsoever.  Its a shame as it looks good

**Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback! You’re right — the app currently shows water levels relative to the Mean Sea Level, which may not be chart datum like Lowest Astronomical Tide (LAT).

As a workaround, you can adjust the forecast to show tide heights relative to LAT by setting an offset:

For example, at Dover, LAT is -3.8 m (you can find the datums for each station in my app). To shift the forecast to chart datum, scroll down to “Adjust Forecast” in the station detail view and enter +3.8 m. This will align all tide heights with LAT.

I’ll explore ways to make this easier in the future. Thanks again for the helpful input!

**Developer response:** Danke für deine Rückmeldung! Das Problem mit den Favoriten im Widget war mir zunächst nicht bekannt – tut mir Leid, dass das zu Frust geführt hat. Inzwischen habe ich ein Update veröffentlicht, das diesen Fehler beheben sollte.

**Developer response:** Danke für dein Feedback – ich verstehe deinen Wunsch nach einer Einmalzahlung gut. Aber für die App entstehen laufende Kosten (Server, Website, Apple Entwickler Lizenz, etc.), die ich als einzelner Entwickler selber tragen muss. Deshalb habe ich mich für das unliebsame Abo entschieden – ohne dabei bestehende Funktionen einzuschränken oder Werbung zu schalten. Ich hoffe, du findest trotzdem eine passende Lösung und vielleicht führt der Weg ja irgendwann wieder zurück zur App.
