### 2/5 — Great direction, flawed execution

*2026-06-15, version 2.8.0*

I absolutely love the fact this app is focused on intentional dating based around faith and values. Unfortunately there are a couple design choices that are preventing it from being effective. I’d really like to see this app live up to its potential, but the fact that it hasn’t been updated in 2 years makes me think that won’t happen.

Showing a limited, curated selection of profiles per day is great for the intentional matchmaking aspect of the app, but the filtering options are far too limited for this approach, resulting in most daily profiles being uninteresting. Additionally, even if more precise filtering or questionnaire based matchmaking were added, 5 per day is still too low. Physical attraction is very subjective, so it is a bit of a numbers game to get two mutually attracted people matched. Lastly, the fact that non-premium users cannot send likes at all is absolutely killing any momentum within the community. As a result, the majority of users just set up their profile and then check out, hoping to receive a like. They have no reason to look at potential matches, as they have no way of interacting with them unless the other person happens to be a paying member. I say this as a premium member myself, free users should at least get a trickle of free likes to give them a reason to engage with the app and view their daily matches.

The above factors all come together to make a stagnant user experience where nothing ever happens. Other Christian dating apps rely on a sheer numbers approach where unlimited swiping means you have to sift through countless bad matches yourself, but at least you can actually find the good matches among them. Here, that agency is taken away from the user on the premise that those best matches will be curated. Unfortunately, it looks like it will continue to fail to do so until some more work is put in.

### 2/5 — It’s okay, but there’s practically no one here

*2026-06-02, version 2.8.0*

I’ve been getting the same ones showing up for the past few months and haven’t seen anyone new so it seems like no one is on this app.

E for effort I guess.

### 2/5 — Can’t talk to anyone???

*2025-12-08, version 2.8.0*

I think the general principle of this app is good, but why am I not able to talk to anyone? I’ve sent multiple members messages but have never heard back. Is there a bug? Are people just leaving? Is there something wrong with my profile? No clue. All I know is that there have been a lot of members I’ve been genuinely interested in getting to know that I can’t. What gives???

### 2/5 — Filters

*2025-12-05, version 2.8.0*

I think this app has a lot of good things—the 5 daily picks are great to avoid burnout! But the lack of filters is a pretty big drawback. My main issue is that even though I set my age range, people outside of the preference can still see me and try to match. This means that men who are 10+ years older have me in their daily picks, but I would never be open to such an age gap. I don’t think that’s fair, to them or to me. Also, I would love an option to block certain numbers or profiles, or at least get to remove them from “interested in me” tab—one person that tried to match was someone from my church. It would be nice to quietly remove them without a formal rejection.

### 2/5 — Too Small

*2025-09-22, version 2.8.0*

Way too small of a dating pool. I had their premium service for 2 1/2 years, and all I saw were the same 5 people every single day. Great concept, terrible execution.

### 2/5 — Don’t waste your time

*2025-09-10, version 2.8.0*

I was humiliated by this company. I am a Christ loving female. I took the time to faithfully fill out the profile information. I was very excited to find a safe platform to finally be able to meet someone. I was told i would hear back from the company after a few days. I never heard anything. So I assume because I am a divorced person I was not selected. Or perhaps because I’m 48 years old? I wont try again, thanks for destroying my confidence

### 4/5 — Matching feature

*2025-08-23, version 2.8.0*

The matching feature is great and how it gives you new people each day, i personally would like to be able to start more then one conversation per set of matches, but I understand the motive of trying to guard our hearts.

### 3/5 — Love the idea…

*2025-06-19, version 2.8.0*

I love the idea of this app and am even willing to hang around to see if it grows. The part I’m not such a fan of is seeing the same matches day after day that aren’t a good fit. I wish there was a way to say no and stop seeing the ones that clearly aren’t for you. I’d rather have none show up than ones I know aren’t on the same page as me.

### 5/5 — Keep up the great work!

*2025-06-16, version 2.8.0*

I really appreciated Higher Bond for several reasons. I like that they’re connecting Christian’s Singles, I also like that each person has to do a self photo verification which stops people from getting on here for the wrong reason too. I realize that they’re still growing and probably plan on making some adjustments to improve everyone’s opportunity to meet someone here. Not sure how long that offer will be but Higher Bond blessed me with a premium membership. Jason and his staff are doing great things here, and want more Christian singles to join. Blessings, Stephen

### 4/5 — No swiping!

*2025-05-08, version 2.8.0*

I despise swiping sites. I can’t just look at a profile and instantaneously decide whether or not I want to contact the person (well, some it’s an easy “no”) — I need time to think about it. Also, I don’t like the systems where you have to have a mutual Like in order to write to someone. Higher Bond has none of that.

Higher Bond sends you 5 profiles a day. You have until the end of the day (midnight) to write to someone (I think there’s a limit of one per day but I’ve never tried more than one, so I’m not sure).

If you want to write to someone, you do it through “guided messaging,” where they give you four prompts that you respond to. I like this because it prevents people from sending me initial messages like “Hi” or “How are you doing?”

You can’t just join; you have to apply, which includes a questionnaire. This is a Christian site, and I feel like the quality of Christians on this site is stronger faith-oriented than most other Christian sites, but you never really know until you meet someone.

You can set up a profile with one photo for free, and you can read other profiles for free. You cannot send a message unless you pay, but you can read and respond to messages sent to you without paying. Paying members can upload six pictures and see others’ additional pictures. There are monthly plans as well as a lifetime option.

This is my favorite dating site. I contact more people on this site than any other. My only complaint is the extreme limitations on characters. You can only use up to 500 characters on profile and guided question responses, which is too limiting on how much you can learn about a person or share about yourself. In the messaging, the limit is 1000 characters, which is oppressive, with the result being getting off the app to email or texting almost immediately so that you’re not having to spilt up ideas into multiple messages…but dating sites are supposed to be a place to communicate without having to leave the site until you feel safe to do so. If Higher Bond would remove the oppressive character limits, I would rate this 5 stars.

### 2/5 — Great theory; poor execution

*2025-05-02, version 2.8.0*

The user base is too small, and because people are used to being able to access more matches, I’m suspicious that even when someone makes a profile they end up leaving the platform but leaving their profile active, and there’s nothing to indicate whether the person you’re spending your one match for the day on is actually even checking theirs. I’ve seen the same people over and over with zero new matches the last 2-3 months, and only one person ever replied to a message I sent. Feels like a waste of money!

### 4/5 — More Filters

*2025-04-17, version 2.8.0*

It’s appreciated there is an app to help Christians find other Christians. I would suggest adding more filters. Like turning on/off filters whether someone is okay with smoking, drinking, and/or previously married.

### 5/5 — Love what this Christian-owned app is all about!

*2025-04-10, version 2.8.0*

This company is new and is still growing so I’m being patient with that. This app is owned by a Christian family who truly values a Christ-centered approach to dating. The owner reached out to me directly which totally blew me away!!! They aren’t some huge secular corporate dating app with deep pockets. They truly care to help people find their person. I’m staying faithful and supporting them as they grow this great cause—which is so different than what we’ve been taught by the mainstream garbage dating apps out there. The church I attend (which is a large “non-denominational” style Baptist rooted church) does nothing to help singles in their walk to find their person. It’s like they think we’re all going to magically find our person at one of their cheesy monthly church events. Ummm… no. So us Christian singles are then left out there withering in the wind trying to figure it out on our own. I wish my church cared more about its singles community and promoted such a good, clean, and pure dating app like Higher Bond. But no thanks to my church, I was able to find this app on my own. I totally LOVE what they are doing and I highly recommend this app!!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — no customer support

*2026-05-26, version 2.8.0*

no response or customer support at all. Would not let me edit my location, even if I’m moving. I was a member for a month and was never allowed to see more than the original five people I was allowed to see at first.

### 1/5 — Matches Don’t reply to messages and Like

*2026-01-01, version 2.8.0*

Poor app. Not much users here. Just repeated the same users. I sent messages to a lot of users but no one replied. I also connected with a scammer here who tried to manipulate me.

### 1/5 — A complete waste of time…

*2025-12-10, version 2.8.0*

My matches have been the same from the beginning. I don’t know if anyone is alive behind those pictures. No contact and no responses.

### 1/5 — TERRIBLE

*2025-11-03, version 2.8.0*

It’s been the same 6 matches for over 3 months now, and I live in a major city. I can’t believe they market this as a Christian app while scamming people out of their hard earned money. No I’m not going to “expand my distance” to other cities when I live in a city of over 200,000 people… if you don’t have enough users to support your business don’t charge people for your services. Ridiculous.

### 1/5 — Same five men

*2025-10-09, version 2.8.0*

I signed up for a “lifetime membership “thinking that it would be cheaper than a six month or three month subscription. I’ve been on this site religiously for two weeks and the only matches that come up. Are the same five men every time. I assume they are so disgusted with it they probably never check in to see if they have a match. No refund no answers, but they have my money but no service to me.

### 1/5 — It’s all fraud

*2025-09-12, version 2.8.0*

They give same old few day after day. Before you become paid member they tempt you with good matches but once you become a member then you don’t get any thing. No wonder why they have lifetime membership because you have to search your entire life and wait for entire life. They have tattoo guys, drinking and smoking and no mention of education qualifications. Even though you have a preference and it doesn’t work. All these apps are name sake traps. Don’t believe it. Find someone in person. Don’t waste your time and money.

### 1/5 — Not worth it as a guy

*2025-04-20, version 2.8.0*

Maybe this app works for some women, but as a guy, it’s just discouraging. Been on the app for over a year now, and all I see is the same women showing up in the curated members list. Attempts at messaging haven’t ever been responded to for multiple profiles. I’m convinced at this point that dating isn’t worth even trying anymore…

### 1/5 — Not a single date after more than a year

*2025-04-02, version 2.8.0*

I was very hopeful when I joined this app around Jan 2024. I even joined under the lifetime program so i was all in. I get the same 5 matches in my city week after week. I expanded my filters to include other cities and states. I expressed interest in more than 10 men and never heard anything. Then I messaged 3 men and still nothing. I get that not everyone is going to respond but nobody? Also there have been no software updates in 9 months as of April 2025.

### 1/5 — Disaster

*2025-03-19, version 2.8.0*

I don’t understand the 5 stars reviews. lol
This app is a disaster. The matches are a misfits and they look like most wanted by the fbi.
Also their tactic to approve a profile taken 3 days, it’s a joke!
Even in the Stone Age era ppl would process things faster than this app.

### 1/5 — Fraudulent app

*2025-03-18, version 2.8.0*

I had this app for about a year. It was the biggest waste of time and money I have ever experienced on an app in my life. The same matches came up every day with and the interface is from the 1990’s. What a pathetic app.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Quality vs. Quantity

*2026-03-02, version 2.8.0*

I really appreciate the quality versus quantity approach that Higher Bond uses to suggest matches. It demands a much more thoughtful and respectful approach to dating compared to the “cattle call” nature of other dating apps.

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2026-01-13, version 2.8.0*

An incredible dating site that ensures truthfulness and great value!

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2025-10-11, version 2.8.0*

I love this app

### 5/5 — A truly Christian website

*2025-10-03, version 2.8.0*

Finally, a truly Christian dating website. This is the outcome of my prayers. I feel safe. I’m trusting God all the way and I’m so glad I found this site.

### 5/5 — Real people

*2025-09-24, version 2.8.0*

I have done a lot of dating apps and I am so happy that this one is very careful to make sure only real people sign up.

### 5/5 — User-friendly

*2025-08-30, version 2.8.0*

I’ve been on Higher Bond for about a week. The app is well set up and easy to use, very user friendly.

### 5/5 — Different Experience

*2025-08-23, version 2.8.0*

For sure different than most apps. I’ve been dating on apps since 2017 and this is the first time I feel like I am not overwhelmed by potential matches. I feel at home on this app due to its faith-orientation more than the other app I am currently on.

Though the app is still just a mustard seed, I have no doubt it will eventually house the fowls of the air.

### 5/5 — Jesus

*2025-08-02, version 2.8.0*

I like the way everything is set up and the way that they are doing this.
Just does not seem to be a lot of people on the site yet, hopefully that will change soon!

### 5/5 — Refreshing take!

*2025-08-01, version 2.8.0*

Higher bond has a refreshing take on online dating. I was overwhelmed on other sites with endless swiping and trying to decipher profiles and what people are trying to say. I like how hard bond has people who are interested in the same things. I’m interested in.. I also like narrowing my focus to four or five people rather than endless profiles per day.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2025-07-16, version 2.8.0*

I appreciate the videos he sends out in an email, so I know how the app works and what I can expect, as well as why I can trust it, instead of worrying about being catfished. The app does take some getting used to since it’s designed differently, but I believe it’s way better this way, so as not to become addicted and spend all day long on the thing! I also love how I can see other people’s testimony on their profiles and their favorite Bible verses! It truly says a lot more about a person. If you live in a more rural area, there may not be a lot of matches for you yet since the app is still growing. But for the right person, I’d rather drive a bit further. Thank you for this app!!
