Not worth the frustration. Garbage! Don’t waste your time! ### 1/5 — Why is log in required? *2018-10-27, version 3.0.0* I’m giving this one star because it’s not clear to me why one needs to log in via FB to simply annotate some text. Perhaps I don’t understand how the app is to be used. **Developer response:** As noted, this is a book club based on highlight, so we need your identity. ### 3/5 — Deleted Quotes *2021-02-17, version 3.4.0* I usually love this app and use it to highlight quotes from books I enjoy. However, I decided to scroll all the way down to some of the ones I published a while ago and they seem to have disappeared and been deleted from my profile. The colors are A+, they’re delicate and and they don’t lighten the text underneath them, which is great. However, it’s too restrictive for my uses. I want to be able to upload a text screenshot, highlight it, then save it back into my camera roll to do with as I please. Would also be helpful to be able to see the photo you’re highlighting as full screen, or at least somewhat bigger. Zooming in on the areas you aim to highlight would be helpful as well. **Developer response:** Hi! You can download the image from the app anytime. Please visit https://highlightbook.com it's still on beta but usable. ### 4/5 — Great App, Freezes with Facebook Login *2018-01-19, version 1.3.0* I haven’t even been able to try this app because once I log in with Facebook it says Connecting but never goes any further and this has been happening since yesterday (Jan 18th) and I tried again today about one hour after the latest update; however I was able to login using my email. **Developer response:** Hi! I am typically on the go so this helps me stay organized. Also, it is very convenient for group projects when planning; you can highlight important information from guidelines and share them easily with group members. The best part is if your just waiting around or even at the gym, you can multitask and highlight key concepts from readings or notes.
