So why am I still testing my knowledge in my late eighties? Well, first, I firmly believe that if you are not always trying to improve you are almost certainly getting worse and, of course the Highway Code has changed considerably over the years. Is to try and relax if possible. but in some cases, don’t be overconfident because you think you know it all. mirrors, observation. and speed is a big factor when taking a test. if the examiner ask you to do a manoeuvre or a direction and you are not quite sure what he said always ask. when using your mirrors always emphasise to the examiner buy turning your head slightly not by glancing. You can be a good driver, but if you don’t use your mirrors, it’s a fail. and when asked by examiner to a manoeuvre is to take your time in what you’re doing. If you get it wrong, don’t panic no doubt he will ask you to do it again. The part I don’t like is the constant reminders.
