### 5/5 — Keeps me motivated

*2020-08-04*

I’ve been a user of the app since beta test and have enjoyed it to keep me motivated with at least some level of weekly exercise. The app is unlike other fitness apps that just let you do any exercise - Burpee Hero makes you unlock different moves as you level up (yeah, like a game). The power up items are a cool idea - the whole experience is built around progression so you don’t burn out.

In the future I’d love to see more items added and some sort of friend challenges, but seeing how this is a new app, I think it’s a great start.

My two most favorite features are weekly challenges and the leaderboard. The challenge keeps me trying most days, even if I don’t meat the goal. The leaderboard is a nice motivator as I want to be closer to the top most of the time — though there seem to be some dedicated users who are always leaving me in the dust behind them :)

Keep up the good work!

### 1/5 — Not really a free burpee tool

*2021-06-22*

Downloaded specifically to log burpees, only to discover that is not accessible ‘until level 3’. You have to log more than 500 reps off squats or sit ups to get to level 2, and there are daily limits placed on how many reps you can record without paying.
Maybe good if you really want to invest in this particular gamification, not keeping it long enough to find out.

### 1/5 — I have to pay to workout?

*2021-03-23*

I used this app for one day. I really enjoyed it at first, but by the end of the day I couldn’t log any more reps without paying. I have to pay to log reps? How is that supposed to motivate me to work out?

**Developer response:** No, you don't need to pay. The paid features are completely optional and don’t impact how many reps you can log.

Feel free to reach out via email or social so I can figure out where the confusion is.

Perhaps you're out of energy? The energy meter refills over time (every hour it refills a little), or can be refilled using items from the virtual store. You earn these items for free just by doing the tasks and logging reps (for virtual coins).

The energy meter is a core piece of the game, it improves as you consistently log more reps and acquire items to improve your recovery. It's designed to encourage consistent pacing throughout the week, and adapts to your average reps per day.

### 5/5 — Burpee Hero helps keep me going

*2021-08-17*

Working out at home alone is tough, having the leader boards, bosses and events in Burpee Hero helps me stay accountable and working towards my goals!

### 5/5 — Great exercise app

*2021-03-13*

Downloaded the app less than an hour ago, And I’m already on level 3 knocking out reps and completing goals every 5 minutes. Great source of motivation!

### 5/5 — Fun, functional Fitness

*2020-11-24*

I feel like this is the perfect entrance into bodyweight fitness. I’m not super fit by any stretch but I didn’t find any aspect of this daunting or out of reach. This isn’t the only thing I would do for work outs but it’s definitely some fun little spice. Have recommended to friends.

**Developer response:** I’m glad you’re enjoying it! Yes, it’s not meant to be your entire routine, I like how you put it, add a little spice to your fitness regimen.

### 5/5 — Fun and Simple!

*2020-11-23*

Tried it thanks to a recommendation from a friend. Highly recommend to others.

### 5/5 — Gets me moving!!

*2020-11-11*

### 5/5 — Love It!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*2020-11-10*

Absolutely great with no fees!!!!!!!!!

**Developer response:** Glad to hear you’re lovin it! I’ve started adding some paid premium features, but will keep those optional so that free users can continue to gain value and improve their health.

### 5/5 — I’m hooked

*2020-11-10*

On my third day with this app and loving the extra reps it’s adding to my days. In addition to my normal strength training routine I’m getting in more pushups, sit-ups, and burpees that I wouldn’t do normally and the squats are an easy way for me to rack up some reps for the leaderboard. This is the type of gamefied fitness app I’ve been looking for.

### 5/5 — Great lockdown inspiration

*2020-11-10*

This app has been great for keeping me motivated and fit throughout lockdown! The best part is you don’t need any equipment because it is all body weight exercises, and there are fun challenges and events to keep you motivated!

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2020-09-23*

Super fun, simple app that is easy to use and motivating. I downloaded it before bed with the intention of starting it the next day, but right off the bat my avatar was being challenged to 20 squats so I got up and did them! It was quick and easy but I felt great afterwards. Can’t wait to incorporate this app into my fitness journey!

### 5/5 — Sleeper hit

*2020-08-26*

I downloaded this app to support a fellow indie app developer and frankly I didn’t think I could be sucked into it, but it’s gotten me to actually do exercise that isn’t jogging! The weekly tasks give me random stuff to do, and the secret event is sort of like a WOD when I used to do CrossFit.
