## What is HikerKit?

HikerKit is a gear planning app made for hikers, campers, backpackers, and lightweight outdoor enthusiasts.

Build your personal gear library, record each item's weight, category, brand, price, notes, and photo, then create a separate gear list for every trip. Once you select the gear you plan to carry, HikerKit calculates total weight, category weight, and carried gear value.

You can mark packed items, track worn gear, and choose whether worn items should be excluded from total pack weight. The chart view includes pie charts, bar charts, stacked charts, and Top 10 gear analysis, giving you a clear view of what is really inside your pack.

The statistics page helps you understand gear usage rate, trip value, trip weight trends, and cost per use. The more often you use your gear, the more value you get from it.
