No other social app charges like that. It’s technically free but not nearly as good or worth it without the premium. I would be willing to pay some money to support an app like this but that’s way too much. The price probably drives a ton of people away ### 2/5 — Protects predators *2026-08-12, version 4.0.22* The moderation department on this app leaves a lot to be desired, they actively protect predators and punish people who try to bring said predators to heel by banning them instead. They will silence people when this problem is brought up and they were caught reinstating an account that was caught soliciting a minor inappropriately. Do better Hiki. Not to mention many updates that cause more bugs than they fix. Plus the recent update removed the red flag reaction which was key for the community to alert other members of predatory users or behavior. So let me ask… Hiki, you want to explain yourself? ### 3/5 — Requested w/in 6 hours *2026-08-05, version 4.0.20* So far so good ### 3/5 — Disappointed *2026-07-27, version 4.0.20* It started as a very good and needed app in principle but it appears that beginning sometime in 2025 they significantly expanded the features that required either a premium subscription or the purchase of "special" features like Boosts and Sparks which required repeated payments and offered little observable substance in return. I guess they needed a new revenue model but Hiki now resembles, in my opinion, the familiar monetization pattern common in "free" mobile games aimed at kids (but in this case potentially vulnerable persons with disabilities): low-cost entry, then repeated high-priced "coin bundles" designed to exploit impulsive taps, weak friction, and unclear real-money framing. ### 2/5 — Trans inclusion bad for straight men *2026-07-26, version 4.0.20* When I want to meet a woman that excludes humans that used to have a penis. The premium addons are super expensive though so I think i'll stick to the basics for now ### 3/5 — Pay wall *2026-07-20, version 4.0.20* I enjoy the community Hiki has created for people who are like me, and I’m happy this app exists. But I really can’t stand the pay walls I have to jump over to talk to anyone! There is a total of 9 guys who clearly want to talk to me. Although I can’t see them because their profile pictures are covered with a blurry filter. 4 of them have even went as far as to message me and try to talk. I can’t talk to any of them though, because I have to pay $19.95 in total to have a conversation for a full week. I don’t have that on me! It’s creating a barrier that I am not enjoying having to ignore. It’s not that I don’t wanna talk to anyone else on the app. I just would like to give these guys a chance to get to know me. Although, they can’t do that if we can’t have a text conversation. I hope this can get addressed and there can be a change in the works so I can fully enjoy my experience. Thank you for reading. They kind of force you to pay for premium. Maybe give a trial period or something. Other than that you can chat with others in Circles or by posting on the wall. NOPE. Zero. And you can't connect to the community either. Attempting to results in immediate temporary or permanent ban like the community note at the very top says. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2026-08-19, version 4.0.22* Even as someone on the spectrum, it still a scam. Also, it’s pretty much the same regardless if you’re neurodivergent or not. ### 1/5 — Paywall to See Near Profiles *2026-08-15, version 4.0.22* Seems a decent app, but no real way to test it out without paying first. My closest recommended profile was 500 miles away, and several were on the other side of the world. To see if there are any profiles nearby you have to pay. Not worth the risk. ### 1/5 — Don't waste your money on boosts *2026-08-11, version 4.0.21* I purchased a one-week boost for £19.95 hoping to increase my profile visibility and matches. During the entire week, I saw no improvement in views, likes, or matches at all. The feature did not work as advertised. I contacted Hiki support and Apple for a refund, but was told the purchase was 'not eligible.' I feel this is misleading and unfair — I paid for a service that didn't deliver. I would not recommend buying boosts on this app. ### 1/5 — Overpriced *2026-08-04, version 4.0.20* I was really excited for this app. It’s been challenging for me to make friends and I had a lot of hope. Unfortunately that hope was crushed. This app charges $20/week!!! For all the features that make cultivating genuine friendships possible. You can’t see likes, adjust your preferences or distance ect without paying. There’s a bit of a “social media platform” aspect that some seem to really enjoy. This is useless to me as I do not struggle finding and making friends online, that’s incredibly easy on other apps just using search/hashtags. I joined to make real, physical friends and am severely disappointed. ### 1/5 — BEWARE *2026-07-31, version 4.0.20* Besides the app basically forcing you to pay to have a decent experience on it, There are many NT’s and foreign scammers that come on this app to take advantage of ND’s. The app doesn’t do anything about the NT’s, m!nors, and bot accounts joining. There are racists and just straight up creeps. A few days after joining with no matches I swear to you I saw a group (circle) named “Trump Supporters” and “MAGA”. The app Moderators are very prejudice and if you bring attention to any problems on the app, they ban you. The app has a very low user count, so your home page will have about the same 10 people posting. To the ND’s, honestly I don’t recommend the app. ### 1/5 — Very Expensive and Extremely Restrictive *2026-07-31, version 4.0.20* $44 a month is very expensive, and is kind of backwards for neurodivergent people like myself, who struggle to find a job to pay even half that. Furthermore, it is pitiful to lock even filtering distance at all behind the paywall. I could understand locking the distance to say, 100 miles, but locking out any sort of distance is ridiculous. It’s also a complete joke that you’re limited to *5 likes per day.* ### 1/5 — Support is slow despite the subscription price. *2026-07-23* I was unable to access my account for almost a week because it was stuck in verification, even though I was paying for the app. I contacted them on Instagram, and they told me that nothing unusual had happened with my verification. Yesterday, my account was finally working normally again, so I thought the problem had been resolved. But today, the exact same verification screen appeared again, and I’m locked out of my account once more. How can they say nothing unusual happened when the problem keeps coming back? Support is extremely slow, the explanations are unclear, and I’m paying for a service I cannot properly use. I also posted a message asking whether other users were experiencing the same issue, and it was deleted. This is honestly unbelievable. I want the issue permanently fixed, and I believe I should receive a refund or an extension of my subscription for the time I couldn’t use the app. ### 1/5 — Sluggish and Overpriced *2026-07-15* The price to practically use the app is borderline predatory for 200 a year. or 20 a week.
