Being a bit old and decrepit meant I did not fully understand how to do simple things like linking cards and making sure I used Euros, not Sterling, for services and purchases. After weeks of frustration, in a bit of a tantrum, I cancelled my card and drew a line under the whole experience. Four months later I regretted ditching what is a superb product, so contacted the customer care department and within hours I was back on line and using the account again. George of the Customer Care team was my saviour as he offered me such care and patience, something which is very rare these days. If you accidentally switch to a foreign currency you get charged a load of fees by your bank. Not easy to relink a card and waiting for customer service who are the only good thing to close my account and pay off last payments that didn’t go through due to a banking error. Points only worth about 1p a point and unless you pay for gold to get free breakfast this card isn’t worth it. **Developer response:** Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Not good enough for an app of this type. My transaction since 2nd May 2026 is still pending and it’s so annoying to open the app and see false balance. Please update the balance every day or do not say your app works like a bank apparently it does not **Developer response:** Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Respectfully, this is not an accurate representation of how the card works and our service. We have never claimed that ‘our app works like a bank’. The card works by connecting to your bank account using Open Banking technology. Your Available Balance isn't a direct reflection of the exact amount available in your bank account, as it displays the amount exclusively available to spend using your card at the time of the transaction. This takes into account your spend limits and pending transactions that have not yet been collected from your linked bank account. When you make a transaction, your bank confirms if you have the funds available, and the transaction goes through if there's enough funds in your linked bank account and enough space in your spending limits. We then collect the funds automatically via Direct Debit. Due to the nature of direct debit this typically takes 2-3 business days to process, and there can be further delays because of bank holidays. This is because Direct Debits are not processed by banks over weekends or bank holidays. We are unable to locate your account based on the limited credentials we see here; hence we cannot look into the specifics of your account and cannot address why a transaction would be pending since 2nd May; that doesn’t seem plausible. It’s incredible how quickly I’ve accumulated extra points which is great. What tea stands out is the Customer Service from Georgi after falling for a scam. Card quickly cancelled, new one issued and transactions queried and verified without delay.
