City based updates on landing page don’t update for days or sometimes weeks. 2. Since 1/6/24 every few mins the user gets a app has been refreshed click to refresh or later modal. 3. Some of it also appears in different sections of the main page. Maybe you need someone to review it before it’s pushed to the end user. I tried to give this feedback within the app and the send button was disabled 😀 ### 1/5 — User unfriendly *2022-11-11* Focuses only on Adverts almost impossible to read the news and going back to main screen. The Advert will pop up and can not be removed. Only way to proceed is to close the app or click and go to the advertisement sponsor’s page. Very annoying. ### 3/5 — Good for news. Bad for ads *2022-10-25* 3 stars for news content. However there existed too many ads due to which I am uninstalling the app. After every second article, a 30 second unskippable ad occurs. Now, the main problem is that the app is not updated according to iPhone 14 pro Max’s version. Lately, however, every time I open it on my iPhone, music starts playing in the background. It’s not clear where it is coming from to be able to turn it off. As soon as I exit the app, the music stops, so I know it’s from the app, not anywhere else on my iPhone. Whichever genius designed this feature for the HT app should be fired immediately. ### 1/5 — Forced notifications *2022-09-17* I constantly receive unwanted notifications such as sports or lifestyle even when i have turned off the notification settings within the app itself. For some reason, those notifications settings revert back to default, every single time. It is extremely frustrating. It’s frustrating so I deleted this app. **Developer response:** We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. To disable notifications, please follow these steps: Phone Settings > Apps > HT App > Toggle off “Push Notifications”. Even after subscribing I am able to see advertisement. You need to fix this.
