### 4/5 — Great utility for T-mobile gateways

*2026-01-17*

Really useful app. Great for setting up and checking T-mobile gateway connection. It needs one additional feature however, the ability to set an automatic reboot on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule. The ability to trigger a reboot on a connection loss would be a nice feature also.

### 4/5 — Please add Beacon Interval and more Transmit Power control

*2025-09-20*

Please add Beacon Interval control and more Transmit Power control, in order to reduce the amount of EMF to lowest possible.

For example, I want on 5GHz
Beacon Interval = 3000ms
Transmission Power: 8mW
(This is plenty for an apartment or small home)

And on 2.4 GHz
Beacon Interval: 2000ms
Transmit Power: 21mW

The 50% Transmit Power reduction is better than nothing, but more control is needed, preferably Advanced Control with a number input. I saw you had a slider. Why did you get rid of that? And there is nothing to control the constant pinging of the beacon interval. There needs to be a way to make that longer so that it's not constantly blipping.

### 3/5 — new G5AR

*2025-08-19, version 1.14.1*

This version will not work with the newly released G5AR T-Mobile gateway.

### 3/5 — Got strange error after setting change

*2025-06-25*

I tried to change my WiFi settings (change one access point to WPA2 instead of WPA2/WPA3) but after making the change I was getting this error when connecting to the wifi. “This network is operating on Wi-Fi channels in use by several other nearby networks.
Restarting your wireless router may allow it to automatically choose the best channel to use, and may resolve this problem.”
Not sure how this happened. Could be user error (if so, I’m sorry). I did factory reset and didn’t try Hint again. Too bad, looks like a great app.

### 3/5 — Can’t disable 5ghz wifi

*2025-03-06, version 1.13.4*

Why doesn’t the app let you disable 5ghz. I get the necessity for the warning but would be awesome to be able to turn it off after clicking OK.

### 3/5 — Barely helpful

*2025-01-26*

Was really hoping this would actually expose some controls like port forwarding or DMZ, but about the only thing it will do is let you rename the wifi SSIDs. You can turn off the 2.4 ghz radio, but if you disable the 5ghz radio, it breaks some of the gateway functionality until you do a factory reset. Meh.

### 4/5 — Not showing LTE stats

*2024-11-14, version 1.13.2*

G4AR not showing LTE stats. App might need update.

### 5/5 — Just what I needed

*2024-10-16, version 1.13.2*

Awesome Tool

### 5/5 — Thank you so much for making this available!

*2024-09-05*

I so appreciate the access ISP should have provided with service. Thank you!

### 4/5 — Why no updates?

*2024-07-28*

What’s the deal with Apple not allowing updates? The desktop version has been updated half a dozen times since this version. On the GitHub site, you can see newer iOS versions, but they’re not getting to the App Store.

### 5/5 — Need iOS update..

*2024-07-28*

Been 3+months since an update showed up in iOS. App store still on 1.10.5 when GitHub has 1.11.5 for all platforms including macOS

### 5/5 — Great app - needs Paste support for login

*2024-07-16*

Really frustrating that you can’t paste password or use password manager to login. That said, this app is very convenient. Would prefer a web app instead but I’m thankful someone made literally anything for managing these garbage ISP-provided gateways. T-Mobile you are terrible and I hate you for not providing more user control of these devices.

### 5/5 — Since I installed this app…

*2024-07-02*

Installed this app yesterday. I don’t know if this is the case, but my download speeds have increased by a factor of 10. I am no “ techie” but could it be due to this app? Hope so!

### 5/5 — Thank you

*2024-06-16*

Great app, thank you for your efforts. Turned off the 2.4 and 5 ghz bands, my google wifi speeds are blazing like it was connected to directly to the Tmobile router.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Unauthorized Error at Login

*2024-06-17, version 1.10.5*

Get an Unauthorized error at login like other users have mentioned. Will rate higher once the app works

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work- help

*2024-06-02, version 1.10.5*

Getting “Unauthorized “ error

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2024-05-17, version 1.10.5*

Get an unauthorized access error

### 1/5 — dont use it on your wifi

*2024-04-09, version 1.10.5*

i changed the channel and now its not letting me connect on my other devices and i had to perform another factory reset

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work with password manager

*2024-02-09, version 1.10.2*

Can’t paste password from password manager. Useless.

### 1/5 — Great concept not accessible for totally blind!

*2023-12-24, version 1.9.2*

The app doesn’t work with voice over.
Yes we would like access to the features as totally blind users as well!
Thanks!

### 2/5 — Better than T-Life, but not a silver bullet.

*2025-04-07*

The app has a bad UI bug on the page that you manage SSIDs. The page has a few settings that you can’t see because they are hidden when the page collapses. It you tap the encryption mode, the page expands to reveal toggles for 2.4 and 5G, as well as a “hidden” option. But you can’t toggle them because it only allows you to select from the dropdown menu.

### 2/5 — Invalid JSON Error

*2025-01-13, version 1.13.3*

Getting an invalid JSON error when trying to log in :( double checked admin password / credentials / advanced settings

### 2/5 — Latest Update Crashes over and over

*2025-01-11, version 1.13.3*

Latest Update Crashes over and over

### 2/5 — Do not update

*2024-03-18*

Latest update breaks it.. at least for the sagemcom gateway. It won’t get passed the login screen and says invalid json. I went and deleted the json file.. that didn’t didn’t help. Then I deleted and reinstalled the app.. that didn’t work either. Also.. a problem with either the app or the sagemcom.. you can’t pick channel 36 for 5ghz.. it always goes to channel 40 even though it says 36 in the app. Plus still no G4AR support?

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great for turning off WIFI radios

*2026-03-23*

10 / 10 would recommend. Probably can do a lot more but it’s all I needed. T mobile you should just have had this on your life app …

### 5/5 — Very Useful and Informative

*2026-03-01*

Very useful app to use alongside the T-Mobile G4AR! Very happy with the “Reboot” shortcut action! I have this scheduled with an automation to trigger at a certain time once a month and it works great!

### 5/5 — Great

*2025-08-13, version 1.14.1*

This is a great app. T-Mobile should offer these options themselves. Pretty sad.

### 5/5 — Tmobile KVD21

*2025-08-13, version 1.14.1*

Reset your modern first. Afterwards connect your Apple, android device with Ethernet cable and turn off your WiFi and roaming mode off. Then simply turn off 2.5 and 5.0 ghz radio frequency off and click save.

### 5/5 — Way Better than the T-Life App

*2025-05-25*

For once an app that works as soon as you enter a password. I understand that it is designed for other platforms as well but it would be nice if the user could put names to the unknown devices or even clarify further the named devices. I know AT&T allowed that on their internet when I was with them in the past.

### 5/5 — Add temperature of gateway if you can

*2025-03-05*

Great app for t-mobile gateway I was wondering if your able to add the current temperature of the gateway? Be nice to see how hot it gets before it starts to cut off WiFi than reconnect I added a fan to mine with a piece of air filter and it seems to stop turning itself off . Anyway you all made an amazing app!

### 5/5 — Very Useful

*2025-02-18*

What’s not to like? App works as it should and is very useful especially if you have T-Mobile Home Internet. I was able to find the best possible placement for my gateway. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Great app for tech-savvy users

*2024-11-18*

Not for most people but if you have a T-Mobile gateway and working knowledge of network management it’s exactly what you need. The interface is clean and intuitive. Thank you Zachary for doing this!

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2024-10-25*

Adds necessary features for managing T-Mobile home internet gateways that should be provided by T-Mobile. Many thanks to the developer for creating, releasing, and maintaining this very helpful app.

### 5/5 — This is what the T-Mobile app should look like!

*2024-10-18*

Fantastic app for people that want to manage their T-Mobile gateway. T-Life app always says my Gateway isn’t connected even when it is, and makes you jump through unnecessary setup hoops, and doesn’t let you see any useful data. Big kudos to the developer. You need this if you have T-Mobile Home Internet.
