Ex: $217 booking has a $27 fee to book and it’s not refundable. I will note that the app is smooth and easy to navigate and looks pretty clean. Would like to see some improvements to the UI, maybe add some personalization settings to justify the steep fee but overall I am happy with it. ### 4/5 — Awesome but the app isn’t the best. *2026-08-20, version 4.18.0* Really love Hipcamp so far but the app lags so bad, doesn’t work half the time, and could really use an update! This sites were beautiful. Not much shade but the water makes up for that. It was very quiet. That was probably because it was about 99 degrees. We made our own shade. We also chose the spot that had a big tree. It was great. Easy access to the water. The road is a big bumpy, to be expected. Bring your bug spray you’re going to definitely need it. Many, many, many, many gnats. You can hear them buzzing.
