## What is Hipocampus?

Hipocampus is a serious flashcard and spaced-repetition app for high-stakes professional exams: USMLE Step 1, Step 2 CK and Step 3, NCLEX, Bar, CFA, CPA, ANZCA Primary, Royal College exams, AMC, and custom study plans.

- FSRS-5 scheduling: Pro review sessions use the modern FSRS memory model to schedule each card around difficulty, stability, and retrievability.
- Active recall first: review from the answer side only after you commit, then rate Again, Hard, Good, or Easy.
- Free recall: Pro users can type an answer or write with Apple Pencil, then grade the response into the scheduler.
- Insights: Pro charts show recent recall accuracy, reviews this week, and a 14-day due-card forecast.
- Cram mode: review every active card before an exam without polluting your main schedule.
- Bring your own decks: create cards in-app or import compatible .apkg deck exports from Files.

Pro is available as auto-renewing subscriptions:

- Hipocampus Pro Monthly: monthly subscription.
- Hipocampus Pro Yearly: yearly subscription.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account after confirmation of purchase.
