### 1.2.9 — 2026-08-27

Your phone does more of the work this time.

Voice entry no longer needs a connection. Speech recognition runs on the device
where the device supports it, so you can add an expense on the metro or in a
basement. On Android you can download the language pack for your language the
first time you need it.

Receipt scanning runs on the device too. Point the camera at a receipt and the
merchant, date and total are read on the phone — the photograph itself never
leaves it. Fields we are unsure about are marked so you know what to check, and
if the amounts on a receipt do not add up we say so rather than quietly saving
the total.

We now warn you before saving the same thing twice. Scan a receipt you already
saved, or repeat a spoken expense, and you get a heads-up instead of a duplicate
in your ledger. It is a warning, never a block — sometimes you really did buy
the same coffee twice.

The names and shops you use most are recognised more reliably when you speak.

Fixed
• Receipt amounts of ₹1000 and up were being cut to their first three digits
• A group receipt that needed checking lost what had been read from it
• Notifications now arrive for friend requests, accepted requests and settle-ups
• Notification amounts show the right currency and grouping
• Tapping a notification opens the screen it is about
• Editing a group no longer loses a custom group type
• Sign-in retries a failed Google handshake instead of giving up
• The category picker opens as a sheet instead of taking over the screen

Voice entry got a serious accuracy pass.

Amounts are now recorded exactly as you say them. If you said one thousand and
thirty rupees, that is what gets saved.

Expenses are named after what you actually bought. "Bought petrol for ₹1030 paid
in cash" is now saved as Petrol, not as the payment method.

Say how you paid — "paid by UPI", "cash diya", "by card" — and we'll record it
instead of assuming.

Group expenses hold on to the people you name. Say "dinner with Rahul and Priya"
and the split stays between the three of you, even if we ask you to confirm
first. When we're not sure we heard a name right, we now ask instead of quietly
splitting with everyone.

Expenses land in the right category far more often, whether you speak them or
type them.

New in Settings: choose your default payment method. Group expenses can record
how they were paid, too — and UPI only appears where it applies.

### 1.2.7 — 2026-08-19

Say it, and it's logged

Press and hold the add button and just talk. HisabAI now understands income as
well as expenses, so "got salary 50000" files itself as income instead of
landing as an expense you have to go back and fix.

• Speech is now transcribed on our servers, which copes better with Hinglish
  and a noisy room than the phone's own recogniser
• Recording stops on its own after 30 seconds, and stops if you switch away
• A recording that picks up nothing no longer uses one of your voice credits
• Voice uploads are around a quarter of their old size
• SIPs, school fees and pet costs now land in the right category

Maths in the amount field

The amount box on a personal expense now does arithmetic. Splitting a bill
three ways, adding up a receipt, taking off a discount — type it with +, −, ×
or ÷ and HisabAI works out the total.

### 1.2.6 — 2026-08-12

Corrections that stick
Change a category once and HisabAI remembers it. The next transaction from that merchant is filed the same way without asking again — and it keeps working when the merchant's name shifts slightly from month to month, the way electricity bills and card swipes usually do. A short confirmation now tells you the correction was remembered, so you can see it landed.
Subscriptions, spotted properly
• Recurring charges that were being missed — streaming and similar services — are detected again
• SIPs, EMIs and other investments are no longer mistaken for subscriptions, so they stop setting off "new subscription spotted" alerts
• The same subscription no longer alerts you twice
• The Subscriptions screen opens faster and does far less work in the background
Privacy and data use
• Turning analytics off in Settings now switches it off completely. The app stops collecting and stops contacting the analytics service at all.
• When analytics is on, your account is identified by a one-way scrambled ID — never your real account details
• Analytics is sent in batches instead of one message at a time, which means noticeably less mobile data and battery use

• Saving an expense is lighter, especially on accounts with a long history

Choose what you track
Tell HisabAI whether you're here for your own spending, for shared bills, or for both — and your home screen is built around that choice. Personal and Groups each get their own dashboard. You can change it any time in Settings.
Light theme, done properly
The app now follows your phone's appearance setting, and light mode has been reworked end to end so every screen, chip and label is readable in it.
Voice and capture
• Add expenses and income by voice from the personal dashboard
• Receipt scans are applied to the form instead of being discarded
• "Enter Manually" now opens the add-expense form
SMS import that keeps up
Import resumes from exactly where it stopped, so being away from the app for a few days no longer leaves gaps in your transactions.
Clearer names
Hisab Score is now Money Health, and Money Profile is now Payment Methods.
More of your language
Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi coverage is more complete — and text that previously showed internal labels instead of real words is fixed throughout the app.

Free accounts include 50 expenses a month. Voice input and receipt scanning are part of Plus and Pro.
