The device itself is fantastic! ### 1/5 — Suspicious *2022-09-13, version 2.2.2* When I downloaded this app to my phone I received notification someone was trying to sign in using my Apple ID near Wuhan, China. When I downloaded app to my iPad I got a message from Netflix someone was attempting to sign in to my Netflix account in Malaysia. This a Chinese app. Don’t trust it. I deleted from both my devices. ### 1/5 — Can’t register *2021-12-25, version 2.1.8* App requires a validation code to register, sent via email. I keep requesting the code and getting nothing. Why not allow us to create our routine the same way you use solo play with finger swipe? I’m a coder, and I know it’s not THAT hard to make it happen. Need to get it right I’m my opinion. ### 1/5 — Could Be So Much Better *2025-03-25, version 2.4.1* HiSmith missed an opportunity to take the experience to a whole new level and we can only hope that they know it and are working on a major improvement to the application. My recommendation would be to contract it out to reputable company that is on the forefront of virtual interaction. All you have to look at is the amount of activity. The application should be buzzing with users and connections for play, but the party is dead. Its like walking into a party and there’s no music. Folks don’t even use profile pictures. The Hismith machine is a premium product which is why customers pay a premium price. They need to scrap the current platform and start from scratch. Spare no expense on development and bring the thunder on an application that the machine deserves. The return on investment will be more than worth it. Maybe fire the marketing department and get some fresh, innovative people that will think outside the box, push the envelope. The people want to play with each other, in a safe, discreet environment that allows them to flirt with their fantasies. You cannot search for patterns (or modes as they call them) by keywords which would be useful. Creating patterns is buried under menus. Screen turns off while using the machine which closes the app -even more annoying when you’re making a pattern as it closes AND resets the app, erasing any work you’ve done. A fix has been requested for this for years and is somehow still overlooked. Why are there three different ways to post to the community (Article, Play, Ask)? Play and Ask are basically used the exact same way asking to find people to play with, as are Articles but Articles are sometimes just regular posts which is fine. If the superior motor of the premium machine could be connected to the competing Lovense app it would be a much more enjoyable experience. Otherwise though this app has been fun. ### 4/5 — Opens a world of possibilities! *2022-02-14, version 2.1.9* My Hismith machine is amazing to start with - that power and nonstop cadence. Sometimes it perfect to just relax and let it do its thing. However, having some nuance, some control can make all the difference. Being able to make patterns on the iPad is a game-changer for me. App runs and pairs without any issues. Also, it’s regularly updated and maintained. Just keeps getting better! ### 3/5 — When it works it’s awesome *2025-12-22, version 2.4.7* Can be buggy, but when it works it’s absolutely amazing. Unfortunately the new update makes it so running scripts you can’t manually trigger the lube launcher. Big problem. When requesting a validation code (required to register) all I can get is “Mail failed to send, try again later.” Well “later” hasn’t worked all day. I can’t tell if it’s a problem with iOS (14.7) blocking the app, a problem with the app, or their mail server is down. Whatever it is not having the code blocks registration. The off-line is not much more than using the phone for a second wireless controller. ### 3/5 — Amazing machine! The App Lacks *2021-03-01, version 2.0.4* I just got my machine in recently within the last week and was excited to give it a try. The physical machine and remote included is wonderful. I adore it. Built sturdy, good toy attachment and overall quiet and a little beast. HOWEVER: The app leaves so much to be desired. It is unintuitive, and in my opinion behind the curve as far as being user friendly, and the main key features I bought the HISMITH brand over others was due to the remote play feature, as well as the game room features. Both seem to be broken. Neither connect or work as much as I’ve tried, even if I have -my stable WiFi connection -an iPhone 12 -up to date app (downloaded again to see if it was just an error, nope) -Bluetooth connected to machine and paired to my phone -(yes the machine is on) The machine pairs to my phone ok. I can make my own patterns and stuff and play solo (which at that point I should just use the physical remote since the pattern mode is more distracting at least for me). Those features work great! Where it falls short is when you try to play long distance and if you check the “ask” forums page, this has been a persistent problem on and off for months sadly. The “remote play” feature just keeps giving me a dark screen with a “can’t connect to network try again later” error and nothing more. The “game lobby” section only apparently works with other people who own the same machine as you do according to a CS representative that reached out to me via email (they’ve been really great so far, and I don’t want my experience with just the app to weigh negatively against the machine and company themselves- I wanted to clarify that!)The app explains very little of how this is supposed to work, so it’s trail and error. While trying to populate a public room, the app will “save” my preferences and then just process for a long time and never generate the room or show it’s available below like it’s supposed to. In short, playing by yourself is fine! But the apps connectivity long distance leaves things entirely underwhelming. I adore my machine, and appreciate the help so far from the community and would really love to be able to utilize the apps functions fully like I paid for. I’ll update my reviews as I work through things, but as they stand I wanted to give an honest and accurate take to what the current issues are. Thanks folks! ### 3/5 — Keeps improving, still needs improvement *2020-12-07, version 2.0.2* I like the automation the app provides, and the community aspects. The major area that needs improvement still is the programming of routines. I've tried adding my own programs, and find it awkward. I really want something better for editing programs -- and i have some specific ideas that would immediately improve it: • let us use both the sliders, and add text entry using a numpad, to set the levels for singles • add a way to change a single to a cycle, or a cycle to a single • i also think it would be great to easily be able to copy-paste selected blocks of singles and cycles. i would also change the name 'single' to 'ramp'. written 2020-12-07 ### 3/5 — Needs work *2020-06-18, version 1.1.6* Love to see this app being updated regularly and I feel it's getting better but still needs work. One thing I'd love to see is the option to keep the screen on while using the app, please! ### 2/5 — Good Potential But Outdated In Several Ways *2025-01-21, version 2.4.1* Overall the app's fine; it has a pretty solid and seamless community and play tabs where you can share/talk about stuff and remotely use your products and patterns or even use patterns shared by others, there's a store in the app so you can buy stuff on there without having to leave the app, and some more standard features for apps like this. The app itself is mostly fine but OMG IT'S SO OUTDATED. The overall app can only really be used in portrait mode (trying to use it in landscape mode is kinda buggy and even more frustrating and complicated) and has the "Zoom-in, Zoom-out" button in the bottom right corner like the apps in the 2000's to early 2010's used to have. It makes the app look so sketchy and it kinda feels like it. Because of this, I rarely ever want to use the app; it feels so clunky, sketchy, and just very outdated. Even trying to fully setup an account on there isn't great because of the way the ui is setup; you can't even be a bit more vague when you try to select some of the countries for the account, which makes it both more complicated and more annoying. I honestly can't even fully recommend this app until either it gets a huge revamp or they just create a new app that's properly optimized and up-to-date. It's unfortunate too because I really do feel like this can be something great but I just can't justify constantly using it or even recommending it.
