Sorry for the difficulty. The information on the sights is very basic and not always correct. Better information can be found for free. The audio just reads the written information. The audio on the introduction page gives an app overview though so there’s no way to listen to the introduction to the city (which would be helpful for the drive). The customer service contact form in the app doesn't work so there is no support. Bait. BS *2018-07-15, version 1.8* Download for free! Then pay to get everything that is described in the app. Complete crap. Don’t waist your time unless you want to waist your money. Booooooo! In response to Jeff...you should state in the preview that to get everything this app has to offer you will be charged. Therefore this is a bait and switch. Not that 4.99 wouldn’t be a great deal but you should at least be honest about the price and explain this in the preview. ### 1/5 — Audio doesn't work *2018-07-15, version 1.8* I bought Premium version, and the audio did not work on any of the sights (I have iPhone 5 with iOS 10.3.3). To make things worse, I encountered a terribly rude and immature communication from the app Seller Jeff Wilson. After sending me several very rude messages, he said he will refund my payment, but he did not, my credit card still was charged. So I had to ask Apple for refund. Obviously, I do not recommend this app. But if you still decide to spend money on it and then have problems, just request the refund through App Store, do not even bother to contact this weird person (Jeff Wilson) who is extremely unhelpful and rude with the customers who paid him. ### 3/5 — Unsure as if yet *2017-08-27, version 1.0* It seems like a great idea. This one app covers several cities. You only get about three tour stops for free. You have to buy the rest of the stops in the city. I haven't done that yet because I am having trouble when pressing the arrow for audio. Nothing is happening. I could just read the information to myself though. But why have it of it doesn't work? Do I want to pay the $4.99 extra? Maybe. Hopefully this will be fixed. ### 5/5 — Thanks for your review. *2023-09-24* Thanks for your review on Monday. Yes, we did struggle with the strength of the device signal in getting the data on all the sites. The industry has fixed that problem and it keeps getting better. Being able to walk around the city and listen to the history of the buildings and historic sites was awesome. I read some of the reviews from a few years back, and I can say from my experience, phone signals have gotten better because I had zero issues navigating and listening to the tours. I told him to wait until he was near a city and he could the download. 4 years now but I still forgive him for screaming at me. ## Most praised reviews (5 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — There and Back *2019-08-20, version 1.93* I enjoyed using this app. I was able to find and get written and audibly dialog on so many historic places at Charleston,SC. Prior to getting the app I had spoken to the developer because I had read some adverse comments about the audio not working in the app. The developer was right there to answer my questions and was so helpful it was like speaking to an old friend. I had absolutely no trouble to use and understand the Walking Tour App. I recommend it to anyone who wants to get down and dirty by walking history not just taking a tour bus. ### 5/5 — Great app. *2019-07-03, version 1.93* We were able to explore and learn about the city we were at, on our own schedule. Save your precious vacation time and DONT BUY THIS APP. I’m guessing the 5 star reviews are phony reviews. (Attempted to contact site and got zero response, not wasting anymore time with this joke). ### 5/5 — Great app *2018-08-12, version 1.8* I get to walk around a city I love and learn about the historic backgrounds. Many horses are abused in the city I live in. I find this app extremely beneficial to create change! Easy to use and way cheaper than buying a long, drawn out tour on poor abused horses!
