## What is Historical Facts?

Description: 
This app provides random historical facts from the very inception of humanity to the modern day. Each fact is overlaid over a beautiful color gradient. Swipe to gain a new fact. Each time a fact is generated, a new color gradient is produced. Choose between three custom backgrounds depending on your mood and potentially to fit the theme of the fact. Sometimes, a fact will be accompanied by a "Learn More" button at the bottom of the screen. Click on this button to get linked to a Wikipedia article with more information on that fact. This can be especially useful if this is part of a time period or part of the world that you are not familiar with. 

Use cases: 
This app is for everyone to use at any point during the day. If you are at a dinner party, waiting for the bus, or just looking for an education app to scroll through in the morning. The Historical Facts app will be there to generate an interesting event sometime in the past. You will be sure to learn something new each day. Prepare to have your curiosity piqued and your knowledge expanded.

Only change I’d make is make the ‘learn more’ button actually link to the part of the Wikipedia article the fact is about rather than just the person involved or place etc. Definitely possible as I’ve seen it done before but it might be too much work, not sure.

It’s a gorgeous app and I learned so many cool facts by using it. I feel like it is really nice for learning something new everyday. The backgrounds of the facts are very aesthetic and creative. It’s got cool facts that I’ve never learned in school. One of my favorite parts is the learn more button. It’s super cool because I can press it and it takes me directly to a webpage to investigate the topic further. Overall, a great app and I’ll be using it on a daily basis here on out!!!!

There are so many facts here - I’m able to learn something new every time I come on. And it just looks super nice. There doesn’t seem to be any other facts app with such a aesthetic interface. I also really like the fact it links to articles if you have no idea what the fact originally said. The backgrounds are a really nice feature too. 

Some facts are really obscure - like one said “1407: Ulrich von Jungingen becomes grand master of the Teutonic Knights”. Like I had no idea who Ulrich or the Teutonic knights were. This is where the Wikipedia function was really helpful. 

Other ones don’t seem to have a Wikipedia link so they’re just sitting there though.

The app said it had interesting history facts, one of the fact was that President Lincoln authorized the creation of the secret service hours before his assassination, wrong in two way President Lincoln was murdered in April 1865 and the secret service was formed July of 1865, and the secret service was initially started to stop counterfeiting of USA money, they weren’t assigned President security until after the assassination of President McKinley.
