I get a bit fed up with going onto a programme that looks like it might be of interest to me, only to find it just someone sitting in the top right hand corner. Also could you have a setting whereby we can delete anything we no longer want to watch, rather than keeping it in the continue section. One minute you’re watching Elizabeth I, the next it’s the Real Peaky Blinders. Everything is history and History Hit is full of it told by passionate people making it interesting. Moreover , the shift to Eastern European topics feels like a bait and switch. This show was ONCE GREAT but NOW IS AWFUL!!!! I and my friends can’t make it completely through one of her podcast. I entered the wrong email address, which took me forever to get them to respond to. Finally, they credited me back and said to repurchase. After doing that, my dad made a typo when setting up his account. Took another forever amount of time for a response. Again, I was told to purchase again after crediting me back. Everything SHOULD be good to go, but my dad STILL cannot log in. I’m going to have to request another refund, after which I will just get my dad something else. He still has no gift from me. I feel like this is a scam. Worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. ### 1/5 — Terrible app that just doesn’t sync between the Apple podcast app and the HH app. *2026-01-04, version 9.304.1* The content is fab but seriously, someone needs to sort out the apps and how they link (or rather don’t). If I could give this app zero, I would. If I subscribe to the HH app, I get ads on the Apple podcast app. If I subscribe on the Apple podcast app, I can’t access the HH app as it tells me my Apple ID is not the same. I can’t restore purchases and can’t link my Apple ID to HH. Considering the level of technology in 2024, this set up is utterly rubbish and inefficient. There’s unlimited history from every corner of the world. The hosts of the documentaries are incredible. An underrated feature I wished I had found earlier is all the History Hit podcasts. Almost all my podcasting is of one HH podcast or another but having them ad free along with all the documentaries is really cool.
