I’m paying for a service that only gives me a limited view have to programs I pay a monthly subscription for. Now I find out I have to pay an additional 2.99 for half the episodes even though I’m paying 5.99 a month for full access to history vault. I expect to get every episode. I canceled my subscription and I’m never dealing with History Vault or Crapple TV AGAIN. This is a gimmick and it’s THEFT! Continue is grayed out. All info is filled in correctly. Can’t move on. So I didn’t even get to see any content. Can’t get in. I’m not going to try to troubleshoot issues before I can even sign up! If this is the case, I’ll be canceling. ### 3/5 — Love the app, but can no longer ChromeCast *2025-01-05, version 9.0.1* Not sure if I’m doing something wrong, but I just updated the app (basically forced to bc the version I was using was no longer working) and I’m not able to chromecast anymore.. if I go to the help section in the app there is still an article showing how to cast to chromecast. Has this feature been removed? If so, the article showing how to chromecast should be removed. Thankfully there is now an android tv/ chromecast app available, so it’s not necessary to have this feature, but regardless I enjoy having the option. ### 2/5 — Great Shows, but App Keeps Crashing *2024-12-13, version 9.0.0* I can’t watch the shows, because my app keeps crashing ### 2/5 — Shockingly Bad App with Good Content *2024-11-29, version 8.9.3* If this app is maintained by anyone other than a retired hobbyist software developer in their spare time, I would be completely shocked. It’s surprising a channel with great entertainment could have an app so bad. The shortcomings of the experience here are significant, but to name a few: 1. The app frequently requires you to force close and re-open in order to clear a freeze. It will then lose your place in whatever you are watching. 2. It often starts new episodes at a random, usually halfway starting point. 3. It doesn’t bother to show you the season or episode numbers when you’ve downloaded shows, leaving it to your best guess on which is the next show in a season. 4. Switching to a separate app doesn’t automatically make a playing video switch to Picture in Picture like every competing streaming service application. Instead, it stops the video entirely. Two stars as the app is able to play videos and offers good content. ### 2/5 — Downloaded content isn’t available in Airplane mode *2024-10-10, version 8.9.1* Why even allow people to download content if they can’t access it when offline? Incredibly frustrating ### 2/5 — Doesn’t have some shows *2024-10-08, version 8.9.0* Missing Gangland Built America for just an example. he shows are currently on the history channel, but you cannot find them in this app. You have to get them through a service which I don’t think is right considering you’re paying for a “HISTORY Vault.” if you’re a cord cutter and you want the full value of the history channel this app is not for you. pretty disappointed. There is a lot of good content on here, but not some of the most current. ### 1/5 — Huh *2024-09-22, version 8.8.2* So, the add I got for this app said that I would be able to watch a ton of documents for free, I download the app, and I’m instantly met with a subscription service. A few examples: If you’re wanting to watch ‘The Color of War’ you’ll need a subscription through Amazon Prime to see the first three episodes, if you want to watch ‘Hunting Hitler’ the first episode isn’t available with a subscription through Apple, you’ll have to deal with commercials on Tubi to see that. if you’re interested in watching ‘Civil War Journal’ forget about watching the pilot episode. ### 1/5 — Tries to automatically cast to a random tv *2026-01-03, version 10.0.0* you have to manually disconnect it, and that button is hidden not by malicious intent but by bad CSS. The casting menu is half off the screen. It's crazy how bad this app is. It's really bad. You also can't look at the series to choose the episode without finding it through the search function. there's no way to go from "continue watching" to a menu of the episodes. I don't understand why you guys are sandbagging the vast majority of your content. Actually, I think I do. But we'll leave that conversation for a more appropriate platform. I can live with the clunky, hard to navigate application, but the library is a joke. You know exactly what the people interested in this streaming service are here for. I'm going to cancel my subscription soon. If I want to watch a bunch of mindless garbage i'll use a streaming service with a much larger library, and a much smoother UI. If you decide to give us access to at least half of the history channels real library/archives maybe we'll consider resubscribing. By the way, your search feature for content that you do actually have, is horrible too. It's almost like you're trying to hide everything. I have my priorities and this channel matters to me. I need my Skinwalker and so many others. The array of content is endless and nostalgic. Use to watch shows like Civil War Journal before school and it brings back memories. I have always thought the Maya civilization was so very interesting. My great grandmother was a full blooded Creek Indian. The process he took to connect the two places was amazing. The Maya Blue paint connect was huge. I did hate that they sacrificed 9 and 10 year old children by cutting t HT rot heads off was very upsetting. The documentary has made me want to know more and to research more on the Maya/Georgia Connection.
