## What is HitachiEnergy Blackout Game?

What happens when the power goes out, and how do you bring the grid back to life?

Blackout is a fast-paced simulation that challenges you to power your grid back and solve
the energy trilemma while using solutions from Hitachi Energy.
Enter a simplified power grid where you must power demand from Data centers, electric
vehicle charging stations, buildings, and other industries while integrating renewable
sources such as wind, solar, and hydro, as well as other energy sources. Should something
fail, it is up to you to diagnose the problem and deploy the right solutions. Many solutions
may work, but the best ones shall balance power quality, cost, and emissions.

Sessions take only a few minutes, making Blackout easy to pick up and play. Mastering the
system and reaching the highest score requires smart planning and experimentation.
