Hitchr connects riders and drivers in rural and semi-urban communities across Canada. Whether you need a ride to town, a delivery picked up, firewood dropped off, or a local meal delivered — there's someone in your community headed your way.

This update brings significant reliability improvements and new features across the whole app.

OFFLINE SUPPORT FOR DRIVERS
Drivers in rural dead zones can now open the app with no cell service and still see full job details — address, customer info, and delivery instructions are cached locally and available instantly, even without a signal.

FOOD DELIVERY
Local restaurant ordering is now live. Browse menus, build your cart, and have your order picked up and delivered by a local driver. Restaurants receive and confirm orders in real-time through their own dashboard.

DRIVER VERIFICATION & WALLET
Drivers now complete a full verification flow before accepting jobs. Earnings are tracked in a built-in wallet with a complete payment history. Request a payout anytime — funds are released via Interac.

AGREEMENT UPDATES
Updated Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Driver Authorization Agreement (v2.0). All users will be prompted to review and accept the updated terms on next login.

GENERAL IMPROVEMENTS
• Offer expiry — direct offers to drivers now auto-expire after 4 hours if unanswered, so riders are never left waiting indefinitely
• Display names now consistently show "First L" format across all notifications and job details
• Wallet receipt drawer now correctly shows platform fees
• Numerous stability and performance improvements

Full food delivery flow — customers order, drivers navigate, restaurants manage orders in-app. Merchant tools with AI-assisted menu setup. Offline driver support for rural areas — confirm pickup and delivery without signal, syncs when back online. Faster login with saved credentials and improved session reliability.
