This system is plagued with issues. The hardware always freezes, looses connection, or gets stuck for days updating. The app is low effort and cheap. Do not buy this system. It is awful.

Hive Intercom is a very simple yet useful tool. It allows you to see who is at the door before letting them in through your smartphone. It also generates an access code for you to enter on the monitor at the entrance to give you access for those times you don’t have your keys.

Convenience is the best way to describe Hive.

Literally made my life so much easier the previous intercom we had in our building kept crashing so I had to constantly have the keys with me.

I love this intercom.

Hive intercom has changed my life for the better. I feel safe letting people in as I can see who’s at the door from my iPhone app, I haven’t missed a package or gotten anything stolen because I can let the delivery person in- even when I’m out, and I love the access code feature. I can leave without carrying my keys. The customer support were super quick to answer any questions I had. 

5 star app and intercom.

Even though it has its own app it still rings through as a normal phone call... so I can have my ringer off and have the phone number for the front door designated as an emergency ring through so I never miss anything from the front door. 

Also the ability to enter a code downstairs to get into your home means you can come and go with no phone and no keys which is amazing for going for a run we’re going out to play sports. OR you can give the code to a friend who can get in while you are busy or unavailable. 

Very smart and well thought out
