The mobile app is VERY disappointing! Especially since the last update. There are so many simple things you cannot do; forms, create a project, assign an action to a project, etc. Worst of all the my actions screen only shows 5 actions, the other half of the screen is blank! Why would you limit the list of actions to have blank space?!? Multiple people on my team need mobile access. I hope this gets fixed soon. ### 3/5 — Web is great - app not so much. *2024-08-21, version 1.9.50* Having found a project management tool I actually like without huge costs is a big thing so imagine my joy at seeing they have an app that works on my old iPad too! However, the app feels like a late add-on rather than a companion to the web version.Developer please work on the app to bring it in line with the web version, and make it much easier to navigate and ### 3/5 — Ok but some annoying issues *2024-08-02* Works ok for what I need (messaging team when not at computer). Issues: do not disturb doesn’t always work, will send me messages/push notifications during set DND time. Can’t set DND to span evening and morning, something is wrong with the AM/PM. If you set the DND time from 6 PM to 7 AM, it will auto-correct to 6:59 AM - 7 AM. Would like to be able to set the DND for non-working hours in both the evening and morning. ### 2/5 — It’s ok for free. *2024-06-20* Feels like this is a very small team which is fine but they’re missing the mark on so much. This is supposed to be for project management by the limitations and inconsistencies and insane. For example, the have several options for how to view tasks but then all the task options aren’t available in every view…that’s just weird. That’s comment on hive in general (don’t get me wrong, it’s a good free alternative to others) but the mobile app is awful. Notifications are never right, badge apps either don’t exist, or show up when there’s no actual notification. Mobile app needs work. ### 2/5 — Glad to have it but very inconsistent experience *2023-12-01* Glad to be able to get notifications on the go, but checking proofs and annotations still requires a browser/laptop. I use video proofing for our team so we are constantly getting feedback that needs to be viewed on laptops. If I’m on a shoot, i can’t see what it is or respond quickly. The notifications don’t mirror my settings in the app so I sometimes have a wildly different list of to-dos. Someone else said it was “chaotic” and i agree. Using this app introduces chaos where it needs to provide stability. ### 4/5 — Sync Scroll feature *2023-06-05, version 1.9.37* This syncing feature really needs improvement. Proof HQ’s works much better. ### 1/5 — Login screen doesn’t work *2023-05-11, version 1.9.37* Can’t even get past the login screen because the sign in button is disabled even after typing user name and password. ### 1/5 — Scheduling *2023-02-09, version 1.9.36* Why is there no option to do scheduling in the app? There are a lot of features missing compared to the web app ### 1/5 — Miserable mobile version *2023-02-02* Desktop and web version are good but it was shocking how miserable the mobile version is. This is hardly to be able to be considered as a complete mobile product. Not only it only has bare minimum existing functions (You can have any tasks app on market offers way more complicated functions as this app), but the user experience is just chaotic. When you delete/add a task, it wouldn’t ref-elect so immediately (I cannot believe in 2023 that a simple function couldn’t be done properly), even after you restart/refresh the app. You can’t edit/add a project directly form mobile (only actions). In “my action”, the app would only display “random” 5 actions, out of all your actions. you cannot scroll to view more unless you move into the actual project. And what the actions the app choose to display doesn’t even make too much sense. I have actions due in 5 days but it choose to show something with further due, it’s not based on the action card order in the project, it’s not based on alphabetical order. I honestly don’t understand why a company would put a product like this on the market. It doesn’t look good for the company’s image and I have seriously doubt for their judgement after using the mobile app. ### 3/5 — Great look but concerns *2023-01-03* The app did a great job on replicating the look and feel of the IPod Classic. My concerns are the app did not up in Settings with the usual options to regulate access to Wi-Fi, background refresh, location, etc. Since these options are standard on almost all iPhone applications i deleted the app. Again love the look, but the concerns were too big to continue use. ### 2/5 — Too slow, not enough views, buggy *2022-12-21* I can’t create notes, it is just stuck loading. The ui is very slow compared to desktop, it would be good to see Gantt charts in the mobile app. ### 3/5 — Nice *2022-12-18, version 1.9.34* Nice ### 1/5 — Broken app *2022-11-21, version 1.9.34* I’ve tried 10 different email addresses that are all real and none of them are recognized by this app. Literally can’t even crate an account to use the app. ### 4/5 — I really love this app BUT… *2022-11-06, version 1.9.34* I have had any amazing experience with this app. There is a lot of great features that it provides, as well as amazing views which allow you to see tasks and projects and their different phases. However, the only downfall and the only reason why I gave it a four/five. Is because, I am not able to use the mobile app as I have signed in with my Microsoft account. Really hoping they fix this soon, once they do, I will give it a 5/5! ### 1/5 — Problems signing up but zero support to help *2022-10-08* Not even sure I can tell you about the app itself since no matter which method I follow (sign in with google) or (use email) north works. It keeps saying it can’t find my email, then it sends a verification to my email it can’t find? Then I try again, still no go. Then I try to find assistance but all it seems to have is the “helpful articles” none of which address my issue. Sure, you can pull up and view your tasks and notes. But beyond that, almost every feature does not work on the iPad Pro 11in 3rd Gen. You cannot comment on anything, the links from email that force open the app do not ever lead to the action, and in general most taps do not respond. Hive functions best in a web browser. After you buy you are on your own. ### 1/5 — DATA STEALING TRASH *2024-10-12* I only use it because one of my jobs as a web and app developer asked me to use it. DO NOT USE THE APPS! ONLY USE THE WEB VERSION IF YOU MUST. The web version works correctly and allows you to login and deselect Gmail access WITHOUT LETTING THEM CONTROL AND COPY YOUR ENTIRE GMAIL ACCOUNT WITH THE APPS they have auto accept connecting your gmail. WHICH IS NOT SAFE TO TRUST THEM WITH YOUR GMAIL. ESPECIALLY when it’s controlled by one untrustworthy person who has his personal email connected and not a Hive proper company email account. Gmail lets you decide what to allow BUT HE DISABLED GOOGLE SECURITY FOR THE APPS AND ALLOWS THEM FULLY INTO GETTING COPY OF ALL YOUR GMAIL WHICH IS NOT NECESSARY TO USE AN APP LIKE THIS. ### 1/5 — Can't even display properly *2024-07-09, version 1.9.49* Portrait vs. Landscape view just rotates the information 90 degrees, completely unusable app ### 1/5 — Buggy and Inefficient *2024-05-03* Don't expect to use this app with any kind of consistent quality. The mobile version often doesn't show notifications correctly. I will open the app, which says outwardly that I have no notifications, and find that there's several in there. Once I've opened the app, the notification count on the app icon will suddenly appear, like it's "remembered." So I have to manually check for notifications, which is obviously not helpful. Other times, it will show a notification count when there are none. Recently I haven't been able to send any messages at all from mobile because of some kind of bug, which makes the app pretty much unusable. I will type the message, hit send, nothing happens. I've signed out, redownloaded the app, problem still persists. ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2024-03-15, version 1.9.47* It doesn’t look anything like desktop app. Can’t see all projects, difficult to navigate interface, just rubbish. It’s a pared down experience from desktop but they plucked out the most important things you need to stay in touch and keep work moving ahead and simplified that on mobile. Especially helpful for me is the approvals on mobile - I can be literally anyway in my day, get a ping that it’s my turn to take a look or approve something and I can do that in seconds.
