The automatic weather is fantastic and saves a ton of time. My only complaint is that the date and time inputs / scrolls appear like white text on a white background so I’m just guessing when I pick data and time and have to adjust it repeatedly to get close to where I want it. ### 4/5 — Not a good start. *2026-05-17, version 4.2.3* Won’t go past the second page. As a backyard beekeeper its nice. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not User Friendly *2026-05-13, version 4.2.3* This app is very cluggy, It wouldn’t allow me to enter data after the fact and change dates. Downloaded at the recommendation of Bee Keeping for Dummies and I was a dummy. ### 1/5 — They lost years of my data. *2025-08-12* I’m frustrated that after using hive tracks as my journal and for my master beekeeping program, they lost all of my data. I’ve been in contact with the company for months. At first they reassured me I would get all of my inspection data and notes back and now they’ve gone silent and haven’t reestablished my data. If you choose to use this app, be sure you are keeping duplicate records. I’ll have to restart my journals and this has greatly impacted my master beekeeping candidacy. ### 1/5 — Data lost *2025-04-13, version 3.0.5* A fellow beekeeper told me about this app, but I’ve had nothing but trouble with it. Half the time it doesn’t record my inputs, and today, it seems to have forgotten who I am. I’m not re-entering my apiary information and will go back to the manual way of tracking hive checks. Good idea- poor execution. ### 1/5 — 4stars *2025-01-26, version 2.9.5* Im new t beekeeping, but this app seems very helpful. Maybe later with more experience I can give 5stars I tried to submit this around march/April and it obviously didn’t post. Today…. This app has failed to keep the data I enter in to it. Better off using your calendar app and notes. ### 1/5 — Bad choice *2023-05-31, version 2.5.9* I purchased this app after a recommendation from a fellow bee keeper. I wished I had not spent almost 60 dollars to purchase it. I have to update it every time I use it and there are no parameters to set about how far other bee keepers are from me. The app is difficult to use and not as intuitive as it should be. Don’t waste your money ### 3/5 — Very hard to use *2026-05-18* I found it difficult to use. I’m an established beekeeper and all I want to do is make notes of observations about colonies. I’ve got 10 hives and it won’t “duplicate” the first one. My inspections may be different from the ideal, but I still want to make notes. Grr There is no help! When I finally stumbled across how to make multiple hives, I get a validation error - the app hangs until I reboot my iPhone. For example, trying to create anew due item is difficult.
