Site Survey now asks which tool you're carrying: Hub Survey or Pocket Probe. • Your yards, organized — the Home screen now lists yards you own first, with yards shared with you and your organization's yards in their own section. • Smarter hive counts — "hives reporting" ratios now count only instrumented hives (those with a sensor or scale), so empty or unmonitored hives no longer drag the numbers down. A new "Count shared & org hives" setting chooses whether hives shared with you are included. • Hubs and gateways now sort naturally — "Yard 2" comes before "Yard 10". • Hive rows and Field Mode now show a super temperature when a brood temperature isn't available, instead of showing nothing. • The forage map is back to its classic multi-hue color bands. ### 1.18.0 — 2026-08-19 New in 1.18.0 • A fresh look — the app now wears Hivewire's 2026 colors, matching the web dashboard: clean white surfaces in light mode, warm charcoal (no more blue cast) in dark mode, with clearer status colors throughout. • TV Displays — put your yard on a TV. Open hivewire.us/tv in the TV's browser, then pair it in Settings → Panels & TV Displays by typing the 6-character code it shows or scanning its QR code. The TV becomes a live, self-updating dashboard; revoke it from the same screen any time. • Applying a treatment or feeding to several hives is now built into the Hive row itself — tap + to add hives as chips right where you chose the first one, and see "and 2 more" at a glance. • Choose which apiaries count in the widget — a new "Count in Widget" toggle in Manage Apiaries lets you keep test or out-of-season yards out of the home-screen totals. Fixes • The multi-hive picker now groups hives under the correct apiary. ### 1.17.0 — 2026-08-18 New in 1.17.0 • Site Survey — find the best spot for a hub before you mount it. Carry the hub to a candidate location, join its Wi-Fi from the app, and see which hive sensors it can actually hear from there, with signal bars per hive and a LoRa link check to your gateway. Save spots and compare them side by side. (Requires hub firmware 5.11.0 or later.) • Adopt new hubs — when one of your gateways first hears a new hub, the app offers it to you instead of assigning it automatically. Accept it, or say "Not mine"; a hub you dismissed can be recovered later. • Treat or feed several hives at once — in the treatment and feeding forms, "Also apply to other hives" copies the entry to the hives you pick, with per-hive dose and notes if they differ. • Voice log review — edit, delete, or add records before filing, so a slightly off transcription is a 30-second fix instead of a re-entry. Fixes • Send Feedback tells you what's missing instead of silently doing nothing. • The yard now says when sensor readings didn't refresh, rather than implying stale data is current. • The offline indicator no longer covers the back button. • The hive stack shows a divider's assigned name in both orientations. ### 1.16.0 — 2026-08-16 Hands-free field capture • Start a voice log and put the phone away. Stop it however your hands allow — the Action Button, the card on your Lock Screen, a volume button, or a click of an AirPods stem. • Pick which microphone records — including Bluetooth and external mics — and the app shows you which one is live. • A forgotten recording stops itself: it listens for silence, buzzes a check-in at 20 minutes, and caps a take at 45. • Recordings stay attached to the visit they came from, on your phone and in the cloud, so you can play back exactly what you said. • New Siri phrases: get a hive or yard briefing before you open a lid, log a ten-second yard check, add a task with gloves on, or start a yard walk. Built for yards with no signal • Visits, tasks, photos, and hive layout changes queue up and publish themselves when you're back in range — and an interrupted save no longer files a duplicate. • A hive created offline now keeps the equipment profile you chose. • Charts, weather, your device roster, and recent visits open straight from cache at a remote apiary, with honest "as of" stamps instead of a false all-clear. Equipment profiles • Save any hive's setup as a reusable profile, duplicate profiles, and start a new hive three ways: from a profile, as a copy of another hive, or empty. • Equipment you pull off a hive parks in the profile's unused pile — labeled, with where it came from — and offers itself back the next time you add a box. • Spacers, shims, and ekes are now real stack pieces, and the hive picture draws your own covers and boards, in your order. Fixes • Weight charts now follow the scale itself, not the newest sensor on the hive. • Delete a whole visit that was logged on the wrong hive. • Fixed a crash when re-adding a component to a profile's default stack. ### 1.15.0 — 2026-08-14 Scan to assign Point the camera at a puck's printed label to place it straight into a hive position. If that puck already lives somewhere else, Hivewire asks when it moved — and its history follows your answer (it was always here / just now / on a date), with a preview of exactly which readings move.
