## What is Hiwe?

Take back control of your news. Hiwe is a privacy‑first RSS reader built by four independent people. It’s designed to let you create a personalised news feed without trackers, algorithms or ads. Choose from more our library of curated RSS sources spanning technology, sports, business, lifestyle and travel, or add any custom RSS link you like. Build a default feed in seconds or craft your own custom one. Hiwe never pushes content you didn’t ask for.

Customize every part of your reading experience. Pick between light or dark themes, adjust font size and line spacing, and tune brightness so articles are comfortable to read at any time of day. Because Hiwe doesn’t track you or sell your data, you can stay up‑to‑date with your favourite blogs, magazines and news outlets without compromising your privacy or being nudged by opaque recommendation engines.

We will try to keep upgrading the app by gathering the comments and feedbacks from our community. But, one thing we know for sure. Don’t expect anything related to AI any time soon.

Improvement and update is here! Because of you! 

First of all, we want to thank all of you for your comments, emails, and feedbacks about our app. It is really amazing how many people reached out to us with suggestions on improvements. 

So. Let’s get you informed about what is happening. 

 - We now support offline mode and you are able to save articles locally to read them when you are offline. We will for sure continue improving this feature as it is something we believe it’s a standard for these kind of applications.
 - Our developers worked a bit harder and we now have widgets. So you can have and enjoy summaries via widgets.
 - Text to speech is available at the moment and we will keep working to make it even better.
 - Category subscription is now possible and you can subscribe and manage categories.
 - We worked really hard and listened your feedbacks about speed of our app so… we have speed up loading and overall feeling of the app.
 - Source prioritization, most useful and up to date sources will be shown first.

We were so excited to launch our app that we forgot to add one of the most obvious features. Pull to refresh. It’s here now and working as it should. However, just to let you know that sometimes RSS sources simply update their feeds once per day or even weekly so sometimes you will already have the latest content visible to you. 

Also, you helped us spot some bugs with email login and registration that slipped past testing. Those are now fixed and you can use your email to finish registration and login. 

Thanks for your feedback. We really appreciate it and it helps us make the app better for everyone!
