## What is HM?

HM-183 Tank Inspector helps registered cargo tank facilities run DOT 406/407/412 and MC 306/307/312/330/331 test and inspection programs under 49 CFR Part 180 Subpart E.

A cargo tank cannot legally be filled once a required test is overdue, and FMCSA's most cited facility violation is a test report missing required information. This app makes the schedule deterministic and the report provably complete before it is filed.

WHAT IT DOES

- Fleet registry with every configuration and service flag the regulation cares about: lined, insulated, vacuum loaded, corrosive lading, chlorine service, and more
- Selects the applicable V, I, L, K, P, and T tests and intervals from the §180.407(c) table, including its notes and exemptions, with a citation on every requirement
- Computes retest dates from the most recent test or the certification date, with Current, Due Soon, and Overdue status at a glance
- Guided per test checklists transcribed from §180.407(d) through (i), adjusted to the tank's configuration
- Captures the full §180.417(b) report, including test method, fluid, pressure, and holding time for leakage and pressure tests, with a live list of anything still missing. A report cannot be finished incomplete
- Finger drawn inspector and owner signatures
- Report history per tank and paginated US Letter PDF export
- The §180.415 marking line to stamp after passing tests
- Failed tests flag the tank out of service until a passing retest; §180.413 repair records document the fix
