## What is HN AFC?

The AFC (Automatic Frequency Coordination) feature delivers the device's real-time GPS coordinates to the 6GHz gateway. This is essential to calculate and assign available frequencies that do not interfere with existing licensed wireless networks. To ensure uninterrupted network stability and compliance with spectrum regulations, the app must provide continuous location updates even when the app is closed or running in the background. Without this background access, the router cannot maintain a stable 6GHz connection, leading to potential signal drops or interference.
