However, recently I noticed the application is very slow. It allows only 30 seconds recive and enter the one time pass code received in an SMS. I live in abroad, so I don't receive it on time at least for 50% of my money transfers. My online banking has already been blocked because I have tried expired pass codes, tried to call their support numbers several times (both English and Sinhala options), was waiting more than 30 minutes and hang up. A disappointing banking service .... Also I don't understand why they don't allow taking screenshots once the transaction is completed. The app is intuitive, easy to navigate, and most of its core functionalities are excellent. However, I believe there are a few key features that could significantly enhance the user experience and add more convenience. 1. More Professional Payment/Fund Transfer Receipts: The current transaction receipt PDF looks quite casual and may not be seen as a legitimate proof of payment. A more formal and professional design for these receipts would improve their credibility and enhance the overall user experience. 2. Transaction Filter by Account or Beneficiary: It would be very useful to have a filter option that allows users to view all transactions related to a specific account or beneficiary. Ideally, it should show both funds sent and received, along with the total amount for each. Including the ability to filter by sent/received funds would be an added bonus. 3. Option to Block/Unblock Debit/Credit Cards: The app should offer the ability to block or unblock debit and credit cards directly within the app, providing added security and convenience for users. 4. Card Lost Feature: In the event that a card is lost, the app should offer a simple 1-2 step process to block the card or mark it as lost. This would help prevent unauthorized use and give users peace of mind. These are basic features that are commonly available in other banking apps globally, and adding them would make the HNB app even more competitive and user-centric.
