### 3/5 — Laggy

*2026-04-21, version 5.2.16*

The app lags and takes forever to load I pay for this app and should have no issues whatsoever they need to fix the bugs and work this out really unhappy with the performance of this app

### 3/5 — Ads ruin this

*2026-03-30, version 5.2.15*

The amount of ads that run on this app and your website make this app almost unusable. I would rather pay a monthly fee to use this app to track my stuff then continue to deal with these stupid ads.

### 1/5 — Just. Wow.

*2025-12-10, version 5.2.13*

Talk about the most unfriendly app for a user! Omg its just a cash grab😂😂
Y'all, when I say I couldn't even scan with the camera because the dev didn't think to add a picture TAKING button link on the CSS, only leads me to believe the entire crew is lazy asf.
And the ad's are just downright harassing.
I understand the necessity for ads, but that is absorbent.

### 1/5 — Needs Major Improvements

*2025-11-30, version 5.2.13*

I miss the old days when I could log into poppriceguide to view Funko pricing or a few other smaller places to check on some other products. Ever since it got absorbed, or whatever happened with the site, into HobbyDB, I have barely used it, if at all. It seemed like a good idea to try and house everything together under one app, but it just hasn’t been the best from day 1. First off, the app doesn’t keep you signed in if you go more than a few days without opening it. The interface doesn’t quite fit the cellphone screen size. I have to constantly move everything around to see all of the details on one product. There’s also no options to view more than 1 item together other than a grid view, and that’s still only 2 items at a time. I logged back in today to look up a few prices on products for an anime I love, and now we only get to view prices 10 times a month before having to pay a subscription. And for what?! I only use the app to keep a record of my overall collection and ongoing values. Plus, THERE ARE TOO MANY ADS ON ONE SCREEN. I am not sure what happened to this company or this app, but I am just not a fan of the direction they went. It needs a serious overhaul.

### 1/5 — Was a good app

*2025-11-19, version 5.2.13*

Now u only get a few items to look up a month. Unless you pay to see more ! And way to many ads just for a few items to be searched for free. And there value on items have changed

### 1/5 — Used to be good, went downhill…

*2025-11-09, version 5.2.13*

It’s dumb you have to pay a subscription just to see the estimated value of your collectible.

### 1/5 — Not Good

*2025-11-08, version 5.2.13*

App is pretty difficult to use, lots of adds. Half of the games I try to add are not on here even though they are pretty common. Viewing your collection does not work great and you have to pay for premium to get anything useful out of it.

### 1/5 — 10 Value Checks Per Month is actually OFFENSIVE

*2025-10-31, version 5.2.13*

this app used to be the best way to check values of funkos, it has always had glitches and tons of ads and I don’t want to have to pay for a value checker, but now the free version is genuinely ridiculous. you can only check 10 items for their value A MONTH unless u pay to use the app monthly. i mostly check values to see where my collection is currently at so doing this is actually so infuriating to me, they really want you to pay the monthly fee even though the app doesn’t even function that well. super disappointing to collectors with smaller budgets who can’t afford another subscription on top of collecting and the cost of living…

### 2/5 — Quality has really gone downhill

*2025-10-16, version 5.2.13*

I’ve been a member of hobby DB for six years and use the website exclusively for my Funko pop and action figure collection. However, the app is absolute garbage. I cannot do anything Without ads getting in the way. I tempted the paid subscription was not worth what I paid for it. I understand businesses need to make money, but it’s really unfortunate that it comes at the cost to loyal subscribers.

### 1/5 — The Worst

*2025-09-20, version 5.2.13*

HobbyDB used to be easy to use and now? Even when you sign up, it collects & tracks your personal information, it makes you sign up for an insane price that no collector should pay because they’ve already spent money on their collectible and they’re trying to see how much it’s worth. This used to be my to-go place & others, too. I hope there’s another app of what HobbyDB uses to be before they became greedy.

### 1/5 — Updates ruining everything

*2025-08-29, version 5.2.13*

I’ve used this app for years but will stop now. You now can’t see how much items are worth without paying monthly. It’s crazy. The prices already weren’t always accurate and the ads are ridiculous but now the one thing that the app is actually made for you can’t even do for free.

### 1/5 — Used to be great

*2025-08-29, version 5.2.13*

Everything that was great about this app is locked behind paywalls now.

### 1/5 — Trash app

*2025-08-28, version 5.2.13*

You idiots have had how long to make a decent app? It’s easier to look prices up and just log them on a computer yourself.

### 1/5 — What happened?

*2025-08-25, version 5.2.13*

This app has become tiresome and a shell of what it used to be. So many clicks just to get to somewhere then the ads pop up.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2025-08-23, version 5.2.13*

Was a big big user of this app until now, and I am definitely deleting it. It’s absolutely RIDICULOUS that we can’t see values without having to PAY. This is the most known app that people use for pricing their collections, and now I can’t even do that. HobbyDB is a joke, and needs to revert this change before they loose their whole user base.

### 1/5 — Horrible!

*2025-08-18, version 5.2.13*

Such a horrible app! And now they are even taking away the ability to look up PPG prices unless you have a subscription! Looks like it’s back to the Funko App for me. Don’t waste your time downloading this.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2025-08-17, version 5.2.13*

I use to love this app. It would use to tell you your whole collection and the price it values at, but now you gotta pay for premium just to have all those options. The app is basically useless now i understand yall need money but it couple ads would’ve been fine but paying just to use basic things is a no for me.

### 1/5 — Was a good app

*2025-08-12, version 5.2.13*

Now u only get a few items to look up a month. And then you have to subscribe to see more ! And way to many ads just for a few items to be searched for free. And there value on items have changed

### 1/5 — Still broken and empty promises

*2025-08-08, version 5.2.13*

I’m looking at these reviews and noticing a trend of the app not functioning properly for example, the refresh that happens randomly without wanting it to, the ads that pop up when simply scrolling through the app, as well as the complete reset taking you to the main homepage despite you being in the middle of a search.
All these trending issues stated and I see replies of it being fixed but it in fact never does get fixed. I am always updating the app that states to update because bugs on the app have been removed and yet I see no difference before and after the update as the same problems always occur still. It is definitely needing real fixes through action and through results that actually show on the app and not just empty words of apology on these reviews on the App Store!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Absolute scam

*2026-07-26, version 5.2.18*

You have to pay to view the value of your collection! What good does 10 free views a month do? This is a complete scam to be forced to pay to see the estimated price of your items.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time or money. They ignore when you try to cancel!!!!

*2026-07-20, version 5.2.18*

First off the app is worthless and when you try and search something it isn’t found in the database 90% of the time. If you do find something the values are way off. The best thing is if you go on their little site and cancel they will pretend like it didn’t go through and keep your money and whine that because they are a small business they can’t give everyone’s money back. Scam!!!! 0 Stars

### 1/5 — Gotten lazy

*2026-07-09, version 5.2.18*

Ever since you forced people to start paying for this app, it’s slow, the prices aren’t accurate at all and it constantly makes you log in. Will not be re-buying.

### 1/5 — Scanning on phone

*2026-05-07, version 5.2.17*

The price of the most common sticker is always hidden and have to click on it to show price on mobile. Special edition price is always showing .

### 1/5 — So much worse than what I had.

*2026-05-03, version 5.2.16*

So I used to use Toy Collector2 and then 3 which was an amazing checklist for my action figure collections, then they handed things over and merged with HobbyDB. The interface is much more complicated, way to many ads in the way of being able to scroll through to do anything. I absolutely hate that an amazing app was turned to….this.

### 1/5 — Annoying

*2026-03-18, version 5.2.15*

Riddled with ads and only 10 free value estimates. Not paying for the subscription when I can find the info elsewhere for free.

### 1/5 — Connection way worse than Funko app

*2026-03-01, version 5.2.15*

I have to restart the app every 1-2 scans. Incredibly worse than the Funko app for functionality on the same internet

### 1/5 — I’m disappointed

*2026-02-23, version 5.2.15*

This was a commonly used app for a ton of people which consistently ran ads so they made money but they decided to force a subscription once they got popular for a while so I’m leaving it. They could’ve stayed with an easy profit but wanted to force a subscription so I’ll pass. Not even that great of an app or system

### 1/5 — Not user friendly

*2026-02-04, version 5.2.15*

Not easy to navigate, too many ads

### 1/5 — Pay just to look up value?!?

*2026-01-11, version 5.2.14*

You have to pay a subscription just to look up the value of something in your collection. I see why so many people in the collection community ditched this app. I’ll be uninstalling as well, I’ll just use eBay for values and Excel for tracking my collection!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Hobby DB review

*2026-04-27, version 5.2.16*

The charts and ability to look up prices in an instant are a big plus for me thank you for so much. I have been in the Funko pop collecting business for almost 4 years now and this has helped tremendously.!!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-07-02, version 5.2.9*

Love it

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2025-06-11, version 5.2.9*

Tracking and values. Love it!

### 5/5 — Member

*2025-05-27, version 5.2.8*

I paid the extra for your membership and every time I try to scan a barcode, it kicks me out and has me reset my password

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2025-01-18, version 4.1.0*

Management is very responsive and sits atop their business and watches it every minute/hour. This attention is hard to find.
Passion. Dedication

### 5/5 — Well..

*2024-08-30*

I love this app. I’ve used it for a long time now. Unfortunately I can’t access my collection via the app or online. I keep getting a message stating a problem repeatedly occurred on the app and the online page keeps freezing and not responding. I’ll keep checking back and change my rating if it’s fixed. Fairly bummed. This app is an absolute must, so hopefully they figure this out.

**Developer response:** Shannon, thanks for the feedback! I'm not quite sure exactly what you mean. Could you email me at support@hobbydb.com and we can discuss? Ask for Zack

### 5/5 — Great App But…

*2024-03-16, version 4.0.1*

It’s a great app I’m actually new to it. But I thought it was a generated app but it directs you to the actual web, which I was trying to avoid. Maybe work on that issue and this app will be amazingly great!

### 5/5 — Great app for collectors

*2024-03-15*

I’ve been using this app for a few months now and I can say it has some great features for collection management as well as discovering new items. I wish I found it sooner!

I know the team has many planned enhancements in the pipeline and I look forward to see them over time. Although a more modern UI would be nice to have, I’m glad the functionality is prioritized (I personally prefer useful features that are reliable over a modern UI with buggy or limited functionality). That said, it’s a great app for collectors. It’s the best app I’ve found for this purpose, so a big thanks to the team for putting this together!

### 5/5 — The boys, soldier, Boy

*2024-01-23, version 4.0.1*

Fast and
Perfect minty condition Funko Pop

### 5/5 — Well..

*2024-01-07*

I love this app. I’ve used it for a long time now. Only thing is I HATE the ads. I’d probably pay for an ads free version.

**Developer response:** Shannon, thanks for the feedback! I'm not quite sure exactly what you mean. Could you email me at support@hobbydb.com and we can discuss? Ask for Zack
