### 3/5 — "3.0" Update sucks

*2026-08-30, version 3.4.0*

Premium ads upon opening the app that u can't close for 10 seconds, app randomly crashes now, visual changes make zero difference couldn't care less. Was good before when pure tv series focused, for movies it will never compete with IMDb. Might start using IMDb for tv shows as well if this app trying to be everything instead of sticking with its specific original purpose

### 4/5 — Love but needs one update! Please HOBI!!

*2026-08-29, version 3.4.0*

I love this app however i wish that when a show comes out with a new season it bumps it back up to your most recent watching. I have to scroll down or search to find the show again.

### 2/5 — Stop asking me to pay for premium!

*2026-08-26, version 3.4.0*

I like the app however every single time I open it up, the ad to “upgrade to premium” appears. I would absolutely love it if there was a way to STOP that from happening every time I use the app. Please fix this! Thanks!!!

### 2/5 — Paid Promo on Each Launch

*2026-08-25, version 3.4.0*

I understand that building app and maintaining it is not cheap at all. However having this paid promo on each launch is extremely annoying UX. I could even help with AB testing it if needed but for sure it is hyper annoying and i am very close to abandoning the app.

### 4/5 — Nice update…but

*2026-08-24, version 3.4.0*

Nice that movies are now included. But we can no longer see where the series can be watched. Is it on Apple, Netflix, Prime, Hulu? Please bring that back. A great feature would be to allow us to type a short note that is only on our device.

### 4/5 — Good,Compact, and to be even Greater, :

*2026-08-11, version 3.4.0*

Why not add a “Rewatch” button? So we can log how many times we have watched our favorite show or a specific episode of a series? And to even make that more interesting, you can show the most rewatched shows anonymously.
Also, this app REALLY needs a “Director page” so we can find similar movies from the director we like. And also make adding new movies to “watched” section easier. For example if i have recently watched 10 movies of one director, it would be much easier for me to just go to that director page, and add the movies i just watched, instead of searching them one by one.

### 4/5 — Keeps me on track…but

*2026-08-02, version 3.3.8*

I was a TV Time user. What I really liked about that was the comments that I and others made about episodes. I miss that.
What I like about Hobi is I can know what episode I have yet to watch. I watch quite a few during the Fall/Winter and I have difficulty keeping track. This sure makes it easy.
I just miss the episode chats.

### 4/5 — tv time replacement

*2026-08-01, version 3.3.6*

sleek useful app. it would be cool to star or heart my favorite shows or make categories. hope this app doesnt shut down without warning like tv time. if so please send an email.

### 3/5 — App Issues

*2026-07-31, version 3.3.6*

Updated the app to version 3.0 and subscribed to the premium version.

The watchlist / TV tab does not refresh correctly - constantly getting the “something went wrong” page. Also, marking an episode as watched takes the app a long time to update.

The Watchlist / Movie tab also does not refresh correctly - after marking a movie as watched the remaining group of movies does not refresh to the top of the page.

The actor / actress credits page with their credits cannot be sorted by release date - all of their respective credits are out of order making it difficult to locate titles to track. In addition some of their credits are missing from their respective profiles.

The profile / my tv shows watched tv shows broken down by “airing, waiting, ended” however the shows cannot be further sorted either by alphabetical or by date/year.

The profile / my movies page have all movies watched and not watched lumped together and cannot be separated by watched or not watched and additionally also cannot be further sorted alphabetically or by date.

The profile / Archive page also does not allow for sorting as well. Also, can you please advise why the “Archive” page is not in the “My TV” page with the rest of the shows?

### 2/5 — Movies added?

*2026-07-27, version 3.3.6*

The update says they added movies. Well, they don’t tell you how to watch them. Also support brings up a note saying the page of does not exist.

### 3/5 — Why

*2026-07-24, version 3.3.4*

Why is the subscription so expensive $10 a month thats way to much

### 4/5 — Needs improvement

*2026-07-22, version 3.3.4*

It is very useful to keep track of tv shows and now movies, which is great to have it all in one place. However, now with the new feature I have a hard time getting out of the screen the promotional subscription stuff and pressing X does not work most times. It is very annoying to have to close the app and go back in just to have access to the content. Lastly, it would be good to have a suggested movie pool like with tv shows airing in each month.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Messy

*2026-08-11, version 3.4.0*

The amount of adds is annoying especially every time the app is opened. The feature of marking things as watched is also so clunky and messy that it legitimately gets frustrating. Only here cuz tv time died

### 1/5 — Why did you all remove the find new shows?

*2026-08-06, version 3.3.8*

How am I supposed to keep using your app if I can’t find new shows easily like the last version had. Loved the new/upcoming shows that I had yet to add to my list, they were easy to find now it’s all this “suggested” showing me the same stuff I already have added. Let me find new shows on the app, please! Everything else is fine-ish except for that.

### 1/5 — Hate the update

*2026-08-01, version 3.3.8*

I really hate this update. Too many things changed at once, everything is harder to navigate, and we don’t need movies added in. I had over 700 shows logged and now it shows I’ve only watched 94 shows?! What happened to the rest of it? The last version was way better. Please fix it

### 1/5 — Updated app is terrible

*2026-07-29, version 3.3.6*

The new update made the app super slow, they changed the way to swipe an episode as seen. It requires internet connection all the time and takes ages to load. Truly terrible experience, bring back the old app please

### 1/5 — Crashes all the time

*2026-07-27, version 3.3.6*

The concept is great, but the app constantly crashes on my iPhone 17. Until they fix that it’s not really a useful application.

### 1/5 — Crashing bug

*2026-07-26, version 3.3.6*

The update has made the app crash every single time, V2 was better and all it needed was slight improvements. V3 is full of bugs and they keep pushing subscription. I’ve decided to delete Hobi and move over to Sofa Time and Trakt

### 1/5 — Last update - nothing works now

*2026-07-25, version 3.3.4*

Since last update. Nothing works. Anything I touch just circles like it is trying to load and say’s try again. And I try again and it still don’t work. 😒

### 1/5 — Simple Features no Longer Free

*2026-07-24, version 3.3.4*

You can no longer sort your added tv shows by newest episodes. It is now a paid feature. I previously used this app to keep up with my current tv shows but needing a subscription for what was a free sort feature makes the app kinda barely useful now. Save your phone space and just use the Trakt website in your browser.

### 1/5 — V3 looks good, but just removed features and skyrocketed prices

*2026-07-21, version 3.3.1*

You can no longer sort TV shows by anything other than recently watched unless you pay their latest price hike for premium. The biggest issue with V3 is the developer publicly lying about keeping all free features the same from V2 to V3 while paywalling all sorting options. On top of that, premium used to be $10 for life, V3 changed that to $20/yr without warning. It’s definitely not worth it for free users now, and do you really want to risk paying for premium when developers have shown they will be dishonest, raising prices without warning and removing features? You’re better off finding any other dime-a-dozen TV tracking app.

And Eran, even though you banned me from the forum after asking you to keep your word, I’ll happily change this 1-star to a 5-star and purchase premium if you restore the free sorting option like you publicly stated would remain free.

### 1/5 — New UI is awful

*2026-07-20, version 3.3.1*

The UI changes have taken away so many features like browsing what is popular and by which platform.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Nice app

*2026-08-31, version 3.4.0*

Good way to track TV shows to see I left off. So far easy to use. No issues. Really enjoying it.

### 5/5 — Great TV Time replacement

*2026-08-27, version 3.4.0*

I was so angry at the abrupt shutdown of the TV Time app. In looking for a replacement, Hobi came up really quick in my search. I then tried Hobi and a bunch of others these last couple months... Hobi was definitely the best and closest feature-wise to TV Time!! Thank you for the great app! Especially coz I used the "watch later" option a lot in TV Time and so I like using their "archive" option which wasn't available in most of the other apps.

AND I'm grateful they made it an option to pay for the app.... I would've paid for TV Time ages before if I knew they were struggling and needed the support. So I'm glad they're starting that way. :)

And when I emailed to request a light mode, I was glad to get a reply to say they do keep a list of feature requests! Which I think is so important so they work on features customers actually want vs. random stuff like Todoist does.

### 5/5 — Notifications are back!

*2026-08-27, version 3.4.0*

So happy the new update dropped.

Did I watch way less TV when it wasn’t 100% working? Yes. But TV is back now with Hobi reminders just in time for fall. Thank you, Hobi! I’ll just do push ups while the episodes are on or something. Balance it all out.

### 5/5 — Update!

*2026-08-19, version 3.4.0*

App is back working to normal . New update is great!

### 5/5 — Good TV Time Replacement

*2026-08-12, version 3.4.0*

Great watchlist

### 5/5 — New favorite app

*2026-08-07, version 3.3.8*

I lost my old tv app and was sad but then found Hobi and I love it!

### 5/5 — Better than ever

*2026-08-05, version 3.3.8*

Love the new design, makes finding new series to watch and tracking those you watch regularly easy. Easy five stars

### 5/5 — Much Better

*2026-08-04, version 3.3.8*

much Better than Sofa Time

### 5/5 — Working great now!

*2026-08-03, version 3.3.8*

The latest update fixed all of the problems I was having!

### 5/5 — pretty but lacking

*2026-07-30, version 3.3.6*

i really wish you could sort between watched and not watched in the collection :( it gets hard to keep track of and understand when everything is all together. good app i just yearn for filters!!!
