### 5/5 — Pick this app - it is excellent,

*2014-02-11, version 4.1*

I test drove a few hockey drill creation apps and settled on Hockey Clippad about a year ago.

It is actively maintained, and I have not had any noticeable bugs and I have over 150+ drill designs/captures. My daughters also like playing on it and capturing their own drills.

The pre game lesson plan drill selection and email option is great and works very well for sending the plan quickly and easily to my on ice coaches. The drill categories and search are well done.

Drill creation and entry is also very intuitive, and the resulting drills are clearly understood on the print outs.

About the only feature I would request would be a slideshow full screen mode so the drills for the practice that day which could be easily shown full screen on the iPad in the locker room

An excellent app for coaches!

### 5/5 — Great production app

*2013-11-10, version 4.1*

Great for quick drill thoughts and so versitile . Wireless printer makes a travelling hockey school a breeze.

### 4/5 — A must have for coaches!

*2013-10-23, version 4.1*

An excellent app for developing, tracking and storing practice plans. Love the .pdf feature for e-mailing plans to the other coaches. Really easy to import drills from others with the app.

### 5/5 — This app is the best tool a coach can have!!!

*2013-10-14, version 4.0*

This app makes creating and saving drills easy and time efficient. I can easily pull together drills from my archives to it together a practice. Emailing it to my Assistant Coaches saves us time at the rink as we are all familiar with the drills for the day and how to setup for each one.

Keep up the great work!

Thanks!

### 4/5 — Very easy to use - time saver

*2013-09-24, version 4.0*

Once you have populated the ap with drills which you have to draw yourself, it is incredibly easy to use. I typically complete my practice plan in about 5 minutes, and email it to my team and coaching staff. This way, they show up at the rink having viewed the plan, and ready to go. I have found that in our case about two thirds of the team has reviewed the plan, which is sufficient to begin the drills, and the one third pick it up as we go. Makes for an efficient use of ice time.

### 5/5 — Works Great

*2013-09-05, version 3.2.2*

Easy to use, works great.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2013-07-31, version 3.2.2*

So far, this is the best I've found. Can't wait to use it for a whole season!

### 5/5 — Drill et conception

*2013-06-16, version 3.2.2*

Good apps

### 4/5 — Better than other clipboard apps

*2013-05-20, version 3.2.2*

I am giving it 4.5 stars even though i like this better than others i have tested........See below why.....

Where it lacks is an undo feature, and the ability to colour the player letters F,D,X.... This way you can clearly show when there are opposing players in a drill.

Also, a better proportioned rink background would make it easier to visualize and draw certain plays.

Great work!

### 4/5 — Very complete, well done

*2013-04-24, version 3.2.2*

The ability to edit practice plans is a huge improvement. This app has been improving little by little and is now in the top couple out there. The only negative is that the images print in low quality resolution. Can that be improved? Also, in order to reduce the distortion on the rink image on the print out, maybe just put three images per page and stretch those to scale better.

This is a well organized and feature-packed app for any hockey coach who wants to be prepared and maximize time on and off the ice.

### 5/5 — Sorry.. The app is perfect

*2013-04-21, version 3.2.2*

It is simple to use and has everything a coach could want. You can save drills, edit them, email them, print them..whatever.. It has every possible icon, skating pattern you can think of. Thank you to whoever made this app it is PERFECT!

### 5/5 — Great App!!

*2013-04-06, version 3.2.2*

I love this app. I now have all my sessions recorded and on the iPad and iPhone. I Take both to the rink, keep the iPad at board side and the phone in my pocket. Everything is there and when something doesn't work, I switch up the drill or the whole practice in seconds. Have I said I love it yet?

### 1/5 — Update crashes

*2016-12-13, version 5.2*

On my Ipad2, Every update since 4.1 leads to a crash. New Practice plans not saving. Old practice plans can not be retrieved. Please revert back to 4.1. Nothing but good things to say about this APP, up until the latest string of updates. Very frustrating with work lost.

### 2/5 — Very Basic

*2021-10-03, version 6.1*

If the export to PDF was a a little cleaner I would use this app but not useful for me.

### 2/5 — Not the best :(

*2013-12-21, version 4.1*

For the half ringette ice you forgot the little red line overtop go the circles

### 2/5 — Need numbering option

*2012-10-09*

Easy to use app. Works great, but is useless unless I can number the x's and o's I put in a diagram such as f1 and f2 for example when I go to write how the drill progresses. If it had that option I would give it a five star rating.

### 3/5 — Can’t export to PDF

*2020-10-19, version 6.1*

I’ve made my drills and input them to a practice plan. When I click on Share & Practice PDF, nothing happens. How do I export to PDF so I can email my staff?

### 3/5 — No drill library

*2014-10-03, version 4.1*

A little awkward to save, delete, copy...UI could use improvements. Drills are easy to create - a stylus is recommended although its possible to use your finger. Creating practice plans was easy, but could use some quick drills (not from library - just comments). One of the big issues is that there is no online, downloadable drill library. Yes, drills are easy to share, but unless you have many coaches using this, you will be making most of the drills yourself.

### 3/5 — Ok

*2012-08-26, version 2.2*

This product is ok. There is a glitch that causes the program to quit if you push the back button to much. It is pretty easy to use. Really good for youth coaches.

### 4/5 — Great App

*2017-03-04, version 5.2*

Great coaching app! I use this to build my teams season of practices as well as work with my Lineups. Allows easy sharing between my bench staff. Almost the only iPad tool I need for coaching my teams.

### 4/5 — Good app, could use a few additions...

*2015-10-20, version 4.1*

Great app for developing a practice plan, however the following would make it much better:
- use of international hockey drill symbols including backward skating, lateral crossovers, pivoting, etc.
- ability to add time per specific drill - only had total practice duration
- ability to sync and use on iPad and on computer/laptop

### 4/5 — J’aime...

*2013-12-03, version 4.1*

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — App is great for coaches, and gets updated promptly!

*2021-08-17, version 6.1*

5 stars, thanks for creating a tool that can help so many coaches out there!

### 5/5 — Best App For Drills And Plans

*2020-09-30, version 6.1*

I’ve probably tried them all and this is the best. No other app gives you the abilities and freedoms this does with drills. Plus you can categorize your drills based on your own descriptions. It’s completely customizable. Then you can build plans and a “script” noting time for each drill. Emailing the plan as a PDF is awesome and being able to print from the app is great too. The only feature I’d like to see added is the ability to copy/paste a whole plan to edit the new one. I run a progressive cycle of drills building on the previous plan that has me repeating some drills for a few practices before substituting it out for another. Being able to copy a whole plan would really help in this case. Thanks for continuing to support this app!!

### 5/5 — Responsive Developer!

*2020-05-19, version 6.1*

Immediately replied and described the fix and how to make the app return to its great glory. Best practice planning app out there! Thanks!

### 5/5 — Great App

*2019-10-16, version 6.0*

It is easy to use and keeps all of your plans sorted and reusable. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Perfect app!

*2019-09-19, version 5.3*

I love being able to create, explain and draw up plays. Also keeping a data base of drills makes life so much easier. I just print it to PDF and email to assistant coach before practice. Love it!

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2016-12-12, version 5.1.1*

This makes creating and sharing practice plans so easy!

### 5/5 — Austin Hockey Coach

*2016-12-04, version 5.1*

2016-12-04 Great Update! Thank you so much for keeping the app perfect.

Still using this wonderful app. However I need an update. Can you add to the line up function s penalty kill (PK) line and a power play (PP) line? It would tremendously help

### 5/5 — Works great on iPad pro with pencil

*2016-10-10, version 4.1*

This app works really well, whether you use your finger or the new Apple pencil. When using the pencil, there's a bit of space between the tip of the pencil and the symbol, but it will land wherever you see it on the screen. Drawing with the pencil is perfect. Very easy to create well-illustrated plays and drills.

### 5/5 — Must have

*2014-09-07, version 4.1*

Great app for first time and veteran coaches. Easy to create, modify, share and combine.

### 5/5 — excellent app support

*2014-02-12, version 4.1*

I had a question on functionality. Contacted the developer who replied asap with the answer I was looking for. Really helpful app for this youth hockey coach!
