## What is HocVe?

HocVe teaches you to draw - and lets you actually draw, right in the app.

Most apps do one or the other: video tutorials you watch passively, or drawing tools with no guidance. HocVe puts a real drawing engine and a step-by-step curriculum in the same screen.

HOW A LESSON WORKS
1. Pick a drawing - apple, cup, leaf, fish, butterfly, sitting cat, an eye, a lighthouse and more.
2. A faint pencil guide appears on the canvas, one step at a time, with a short instruction for each step.
3. You draw over it with your finger, Apple Pencil, or mouse.
4. Finish the lesson and the guide disappears - what remains is your drawing.

8 BRUSHES THAT BEHAVE LIKE THE REAL THING
- Pencil with grain and pressure-sensitive shading
- Ink pen with confident tapered strokes
- Watercolour with wet edges and colours that deepen where they overlap
- Charcoal and pastel that catch the grain of the paper
- Dry brush that splits into separate bristles
- Mixer brush and a soft eraser

COLOUR MIXING THAT WORKS LIKE REAL PAINT
This is what most drawing apps get wrong. HocVe mixes pigment the way paint does (Kubelka-Munk), not by averaging RGB numbers: smear blue over yellow and you get GREEN, not grey. Pick the Mixer brush, drag it across two strokes you already painted, and watch them blend the way they would on paper.

Basic forms (sphere, cube, cylinder with shading), Fruits, Objects, Nature, Animals, Portraits, Architecture, Landscape and Masterpieces (public-domain works by Leonardo, Van Gogh, Hokusai, Vermeer and Munch) - ordered from easy to hard so your hand improves in the right order.
