Very annoying please fix ### 4/5 — It’s a fun game, but experiencing bugs *2022-09-09, version 1.4.4* Its very fun and pulls you in. Never are you bored, haha. However, I wanted to bring up some bugs i’ve been experiencing. I can’t see the skin I bought for my pig at all. I don’t know much about technology, so it could be on my side and i wouldn’t know. Another thing is that more often than not, when i choose whether to be farmhand or a pig, the game will just sit there. The select options disappear, but the game is still going. I usually just restart the game but often that wouldn’t fix the problem, it would just happen again. It isn’t enough to completely stop me from playing but it is quite an annoyance. Could be on my side somehow because i’m low on storage but i wanted to bring it up just in case anyway! The way the camera works is a bit wonky, but i could adapt. Good game other than the bugs and struggle with the camera. When I would choose the pig in single player mode the screen would just freeze and the music would keep playing. Over all though amazing game. ### 4/5 — Cute, addictive, a few minor flaws *2021-12-29, version 1.0.1* Hi, I am usually very critical of games, flaws or no flaws. Hogwash has more than delivered, but there are some things I think would make the game better for everyone. First, bug fixes. I was on like, level 40 at one point, with a ton of progress, and suddenly the app kicked me out onto my home page, and all my progress was deleted and I had to start over. That is actually pretty much the only bug I have noticed in the game, and I usually pick up a ton of bugs in many of my video games. So congrats on that. Secondly, I think you should be able to earn coins faster, so as soon as an outfit opens up you can play some,achieve goals, and buy it . Lastly, I think you should make the farmhand run faster. It’s pretty annoying when you see a possession is filling up with mud, and you can’t get to it in time. Or maybe give them super speed like the pigs have! This is a great game, you should definitely buy it, it’s a keeper for sure.♥️ ### 3/5 — Good but needs improvement *2021-06-28, version 1.0.1* This game is fun for a little while but after a while you just get bored. It’s the same old thing and really nobody likes to be the farmer, it’s like if you want to play a game of tag and nobody wants to be it. But that is where the problems are. Connecting with other people in the game is PAINFUL! It will say it is connecting forever, or just not work. Also once the round is over, you have to connect again! It doesn’t let you play with the same people again! Which as I said is painful. Also it will sometimes do this thing where it says I am not connected to iCloud when I open the app and then crash. It will keep doing that, not letting me play. The only way to fix it is by restarting your phone. However, there isn’t any way to set the difficulty level. How is such a basic feature lacking? I’d like to get better at the game, but being humiliated by the AI time and time again just makes me want to delete the app. There should be a way to adjust the difficulty level so new players can get some wins but still feel a little challenged, and then up the intensity as skills get developed. However, that just can’t happen with this version. The graphics are beautiful and cartoony. Also the pigs are adorable. Only, when you try to play multiplayer (not invite friends) you don’t get real people. You get cpu players. You might as well play single player then. Idk if it’s cause nobody else in the universe is also looking for a multiplayer game or just cause the game has a rough time connecting to other people. 🤷‍♀️ The reason I gave it 3 stars is because I was really looking forward to having an online game. Where you are actually interacting with other people. Not a computer. So yeah. I hope the devs can fix it. Maybe it’s just my WiFi or connection but it seems okay to me. This is totally a fun game tho. App works fine until you go to select your player and it doesn’t matter if you select the farm or pig, the buttons go away, but it doesn’t change screens and you have to close it out to go back. I’ve uninstalled, reinstalled, turned off and back on and nada. Just won’t go past the select player page. I give up. You’d think an arcade game that you pay to play would have working support.. ### 1/5 — Invite friends doesn’t work *2021-12-15, version 1.0.1* I’ve tried both being sent an invite and inviting someone else. In both cases the invited person gets a notification and, when they click on it, the game opens. So far so good. But then it just goes to the main menu. No joining a game or anything. Click on Play and it asks if you want to play single or multi. Click multi and it asks you to invite people. But I was already invited! No obvious way to get into an invited game. Super lame. ### 1/5 — Restarted Me for Some Reason *2021-07-16, version 1.0.1* This game WAS a lot of fun. Local network play was a pain sometimes but we got it to work most days. Today I logged into a level 30 account. The game crashed and I restarted to a level one account. I’ve tried singing out of Game Center and restarting the phone but it still constantly says level one. All the purchased customization for my pig and farmer are gone is well. I really don’t know if it’s even worth the hassle to keep going anymore. [Updated on 23rd Nov] Just tried the new update for inviting players, but it has a few issues. The first is the use of Game Center’s “invitation” through the Messages app. Very slow and clumsy. The second is that you cannot select the computer for any of the players. So we (a family of 3 players) were sat waiting for over 5 minutes for the 4th online player. Why not make it such that missing players can be the computer so that we can play immediately? ### 1/5 — Lousy controllers, no local multiplayer *2019-11-04, version 1.0.0* It has potential, but quickly gets old because of how overly sensitive the MFI controls are, and I have it set to the least sensitive setting. Also, the multiplayer mode just connects you with a bunch of randos. You can’t invite friends via GameCenter, nor play locally over WiFi. Isn’t that the whole point of Apple Arcade, to play with your whole family? Not that it would matter anyway, the Apple TV app won’t even connect to multiplayer, saying there’s a Network Error. ### 2/5 — Cute and fun *2022-12-26, version 1.4.4* Cute game fun to play as a time waster. I recently redownloaded the game to play and it doesn’t work. I select if I want to be the pig or the farmer and nothing happens. I tried deleting the game and redownloading it but nothing happened. I’ve been trying so hard to play but I can’t even start it without it freezing and not letting me play. It’s very annoying.. I used to love this game now it’s just bad. How can I play a game that doesn’t even start? I’ve seen that this has been going on since September and it’s November now.. ### 2/5 — It’s just okay-ish, played to test for a kid *2020-02-07, version 1.0.1* This is generally a 7/10 hard game. (1 being the easiest, 10 being the hardest.) It doesn’t really work with multiplayer perfectly, connecting to someone else is like flipping a coin. Takes a long time to get used to the controls, but it seems like there’s no settings to change the sensitivity of the character’s movement roller. I installed the game to see if it had controls like Minecraft or Fortnite, something my kids are used to. My kids are ages 7, 9, and 11. They couldn’t control anything and the concept is a little too difficult to lock into for the younger ones. These games may be more suitable for teens or adults. I have tried two different wifi networks as well as 4G and nothing makes it work. One of the wifi networks I tried is gigabit speed. Every other multiplayer game works, just not this one. Matchmaking always pairs me against 3 AI’s, and I am never able to play against a human. I have tried restarting the app over and over but that doesn’t help. Without being able to play against people, the app feels very shallow. I think in a higher level of play this wouldn't be much of a problem, but 99% of the players aren't remotely there. It feels more like a execution than a frantic chase. Just like for Red Reign I can not speak for how the game plays at a higher levels as those levels just don't exist. What I can say is even when the Farmer is vaguely under control, the tactics get stale fast. Once you get started on one method of winning it is unpractical when playing against a bad/AI Farmer to switch, so you just do the same 2 at a time tactic on repeat with little to no variety. As for other things I noticed about the game since starting on launch. The AI pigs when tied will get stuck in corners. There needs to be a "play again" button as the matchmaking can be unreliable and takes a long time. The end screen shouldn't have a long Splatoon like counter as it is VERY clear who won. Maybe it should be impossible to permanently tie up all 3 pigs. The camera when you're tied up and moving will automatically spin in circles if you don't manually hold it. And there are animation change issues when you are rescued or captured when holding an action button. 5 stars because I want to the game to succeed, in reality I would rate it 3. ### 5/5 — Love it!
