You might have luck your first time and really easily get access to the app, but about a day later, the gimbal will never turn on Bluetooth connectivity again, and there is zero information anywhere on how to troubleshoot why your connection won’t be recognized. Very cool.

We don’t care about you enough to update our software or keep up with apple’s updates because that takes extra work and we don’t have any extra product to sell you to pay for that service. So, continue to use the product without the app and calibrate it on the floor.

I have now tried this app on both my iPad Air 2 as well as my iPhone XS. The app can’t find my brand new gimbal on either device. The app doesn’t seem to actually even perform a search. When I tap the refresh button nothing happens. This app is 100% useless on multiple devices!!!

This app doesn’t work with an iPhone 8 on the latest iOS. However, if you search for Hohem Gimbal that app does connect via Bluetooth and all the features seem to work great. Good luck 👍

Connected with literally two taps. App works as expected, functional and easy to use.  The time lapse feature is super cool and useful!

It’s got a time of options and can remotely control the gimbal.

The App still has a ways to go with the calibration portion. However, connectivity was rather simple and quick.  I haven’t experienced any drop off or lag between the gimbal and app which is awesome.  I would recommend doing the offline calibration until they get the online worked out.

My phone connect the first few times I used the app. But now, it doesn’t seem to want to connect and I can’t change any settings on my gimbal or access battery level. 

Other than that, the app worked good when my phone actually connected.
